Ully stole that game! BOS logo Game Stats NSH logo 32 Shots On Goal 31 34% Faceoff % 66% 0% Power-Play % 0% 0/2 0/4 8 Penalty Minutes 4 10 Hits 22 20 Blocked Shots 9 10 Giveaways 7 9 Takeaways 8 Ullmark has been great for at least three weeks now and last night was probably his best. Who starts game 1. Not much difference in the overall numbers but I say go with the hot hand which is Ullmark. With six games left and assuming they start three each, Swayman might need to steal a couple of his games for me to change my mind.

While Swayman has been getting wins lately, he has not looked as good.

Ullmark has a bee in his bonnet I think so too, this streak started the day after trade deadline. Conversely, I think Swayman’s slight decline started around the same time there were whispers of contract extension talks.

That was one of the best games they've played on a long time. There were still a few things that could have been better, but overall, everyone seemed engaged and I never felt like they were not competing. And for the first time in a long time, my guts weren't churning in the last 5 minutes, waiting for the other shoe to drop. They were finally making smart plays to clear the zone and not being fancy about it. More of this and they'll be in decent shape going into the first round. I feel same as you except for the faceoff situation..When a 22 yr old comes up frpm Prov and is your best Faceoff man, you got a major problem going into faceoffs..Lose a FO on the PK or espwcially the PP it kills your momentum..

Im with you guys..Ully has been lights out since he rescinded the trade..He seems like a man on a mission while Sway looks too average..Ully is stealing games and thats what you need postseason..Your tender HAS to steal some games!!

Couple of things sometimes the best move (Trade deadline) are no moves , a lot of us wanted something for Ullmark if he doesn’t shut it down we’re in Cap hell with LPD 🤬. When a Goalie isn’t in a good mental state it shows up in his play , I think Ullmark mentally in a better spot right now . I would like Swayman to lose the attitude he has brought this year he gets rattled to easy .

I agree. Faceoffs last night and let's be honest, all season, have been a major issue. It is one of the factors that I feel will be our undoing in the playoffs. You just can't lose 60-70%+ of faceoffs game in and game out.

Ullmark did get lucky on 2 off the post & the one he was no where near that shot. But as the saying goes you have to be lucky to be good & good to be lucky!! I'll take those lucky post for our goalie anytime too!! I agree Sway has been off his game & not as calm cool & collected since Astar break.

You just can't lose 60-70%+ of faceoffs game in and game out. Coyle improved alot in the FO circle last season and he has some good runs against certain teams BUT too often here of late, Bruins on PP and loses offensive zone faceoff and puck ends up in our end with 30 seconds gone off our PP..Somehow, Zacha and Beecher needs to take all special team faceoffs, Zacha on the PP and Beecher on the PK..Points wise, both Coyle and Zacha exceeded expectations being our #1 and 2 centres but Zacha is having a late season surge while Coyles game has dropped off drastically, offense and FO..I said it before and I'll say it again, Coyle will be fine once postseason begins..Marchand needs to be FORCED off the ice if need be..It's all too obvious he needs a break, imagine he gets injured before playoffs?? IS it really worth trying to chase down the Rangers just to play Tampa in the end?? Thats one team I do not want 1st round..Florida seems like they chose their 1st rd opponent in Toronto, maybe thats what Bruins need to do, choose their 1sr rd opponent..

It’s funny/weird, faceoffs should be a very teachable thing, Coyle had Bergeron at his disposal for 3 years, Zacha 1 year, Freddy also a couple of years. Can we not ask Bergeron to hangout at the practice facility or travel with the team for awhile to see if these guys can learn from the best.

Sounds ideal if Bergy were to do it, not really a big ask considering..Faceoffs are always important but they're critical in the playoffs..I still believe Coyle will be fine once postseason begins..He just seems to me like one of our guys who shows up when they need him at the very worst of times, Coyle, Marchand, they'll be fine when the big games are here,,
