Very nice win, the Islanders have been very tough on us lately and we put it to them today.

Good game other than the PK. Really impressed with Freddie’s game right now. Seems he has figured some things out.

Other I think being put on the Coyle line got to him. Seems to be a really good fit with the style of game Coyle plays. Big body, cycling and Freddy has good speed and a quick stick for a big boy. Also he has a heavy wrister, I think we might see some more production out of him eventually.

Also happy Freddy didn’t go anywhere Ross Johnston, he’s a legit heavy weight with a screw loose.

Great answer but I think leadership got to him Kid has done a 180 and I love it .Marchand had hard go so my money is on him .

A combination of Cassidy believing in him and moving him up in the lineup and Frederick becoming a sponge from Coyle and learning to play a more power oriented game.

Imagine if Cassidy had that faith or the orders from Management to give Studnicka or Senyshen the same amount of opportunities that Freddy had. Lets call a spade a spade in that Freddy sucked assholes for the first 40+ games this season and only played worth a damn when the Freddy-Coyle-Smith line was put together. Before that he sucked donkey dick and played like a 4th line AHL'er. If only the Bruins actually tried to give others the same opportunity he had.

Senyshyn was a wasted 1st round pick from seven years ago. His best ceiling with Ottawa would be a bottom six energy guy/grinder type if he ever makes the team. I wish him all the success in the world but he’s been around here a long time.
The difference with Freddy is, he found a way to be useful. Like Cassidy always says, if you’re not scoring you have to find a way to be useful, you have to bring something. That’s why Frederic was able to stick around, even though sometimes I thought he was a total idiot.
Studnicka may go the same way as Senyshyn. If he can’t find a way to stick around he’ll be passed on by. He just had a 4 game stint on the top line and he was in over his head. He’s not currently better than anybody on the fourth line so he has to change his thinking. Lysell is going to come in next year and take a spot. Not sure how Studnicka plans on stealing someone’s job next year. ?

Seny 2015 draft 14 nhl game Tfred 2016 draft 104 nhl games Jack 2017 draft 35 nhl games Seems like you have a better shot at the big club as a tough 4th line mucker. Miss the Pat Burns approach where Joe Thornton had to start on the 4th line and work his way up. Same was done with Marchand.
