In their defense they blew the lead because it was 6 on 4 & the PK had a lot of minutes to defend the entire game. True, but they had chance after chance to clear and run the clock and didn't. It seems to be becoming a trend lately and not just at the end of close games, though it becomes more glaring during those instance I think, for obvious reasons. Crafar, Bruins gave up WAY to many chances..If only for Swayman, TB could have scored double digit goals..46 shots is simply unacceptable and I agree with Kevin, Tampa gotta away with alot while Bruins were called for everything it seemed BUT Boston still needs to be more discipline..Still not sure why Mitchell played over Shattenkirk which Fforr mentioned, I missed him back there too and players icetime was all over the place, 4th line barely played.. I think the thought of trading Grzelyk and keeping Lohrei took a turn after last night..Both Lohrei and Poitras played season low minutes..I think if you send Lohrei back down to AHL and bring him back up in Feb-Mar, we'll see a much improved defenseman..

I prefer that Lohrei learn on the fly with the Bruins. Not like we are 5-8-3. His defense needs work for sure. He has also played the last few games with McAvoy which means he is out there against the best lines. He will learn more in the NHL than the AHL.

Agree I don’t think it’s best for him on the first pair though Without a doubt for Lohrei it's a learning process and you would think there's no better place for him to learn than in the nhl..He's already pretty much proven he can play with the best of them..You make a good point that him being paired with McAvoy he's playing the best of the best but while Mac played his usual 27 minutes against TB, Lohrei played a season low 12;46..Of course he's not ready for those kind of minutes that Macavoy or Lindholm plays, but Mitchell even played more albeit so slightly more at 13:22..His minutes played have fluctuated since he got called up and thats to be expected for any rookie, same with Poitras.. IF they decide to keep him up, who sits?? Whatever makes him a better dman down the road is what we all want for him so whatever that may be, lol Im in favor of!! www.espn.com/nhl/boxscore/_/gameId/401559501

I was at the game tonight. Loved MacAvoy's shift in the first when he smoked Jeannot in the first. Lorei needs to go down and work on his defence. Then he'll be ready to come back up later in the year. "Sway is the way". The only reason they were able to squeak out an undeserved point was due to Swayman. He saved their bacon time and time again. They need to up their faceoff game. Not getting possession off of the draw is hurting them - especially in OT. Great place to see a game though. It was exciting and back and forth all night. Had a blast! Thanks for update, great when someone is actually there to see it live..I noticed both rookies, Lohrei and Poitras their icetime was way down..I think Potsy needs to sit a couple games, maybe when Geekie returns..Kid has a long future but things he needs to work on..Fully agree Lohrei needs to learn how to play defense and Briuins giving up 46 shots is simply unacceptable!! Lauko looked out of sync as well. He wasn't winning races and wasn't making things happen. Maybe he is still a little bit tentative after the injury and wearing the cage. Perhaps a game or two from the 9th floor might get him back on track.

Last night was Zacha’s 99th game as a Bruin 28 goals 43 assists 71 points total . I like Zacha but almost every good team in the league has a better number #1 center than the Bruins and a lot have two better centers than our #1. That is a problem.

He’ll learn more in Providence with bigger minutes. He can get a ton of play in all situations and his confidence can grow. We really do have better options than him with or without Grzelyk. There is also the possibility that he doesn’t have good defensive instincts. He obviously has the physical tools and offensive flare but I don’t want him to be one dimensional.

That offensive flare no doubt due to the fact that he’s a converted forward. Definitely the real deal. Credited with 5 hits in 8 games averaging about 18 minutes a game. Give him more time in Providence against professional forwards where he’ll be forced to play the body more consistently. There’s a couple of left D down there who also deserve a look.
