Another piss poor effort against yet another bottom feeder. Again, too many passengers and too many bad decisions. It sounds like Monty sees the problems, but the players still seem to feel like everything is just fine. I'm beginning to think we need to institute the first annual Seventh Pylon Award, going to the player who has most underwhelmed and underperformed this season. After last night, there are too many to count, but overall this year, for me anyway, it's Lindholm. The dude looks like a shell of himself, nowhere near what he looked like when he first got here, or even most of last season. Not sure if it's still some nagging injury, or what, but he needs to get his shit together. He doesn't look like a 1A/B dman, or anywhere near worth what he's being paid, sorry. And if Mac is out for any real length of time, he's going to need to step up big time like he did at the beginning of last year.

And apologies if someone else had already coined that term, I didn't mean to copyright infringe.

And apologies if someone else had already coined that term, I didn't mean to copyright infringe. Along the lines of our new regular season award, only ONE defenseman last night was credited with a hit. That dman was Hampus Lindholm, bringing his season total….. wait for it…. up to 8. 🤯 There you have it. Hope there’s some sort of reason.

Badly outshot and thanks to Ullmark it was kept close but really the gaffes and gutless play from the defense are at an all-time high and it's really sad to watch. Carlo getting burned on the pinch in the third and swinging his stick wildly. Shatty wandering toward the front of the net and getting absolutely crushed leading to the easy 2 on 1 for the 3rd goal that really broke our backs. Lindholm with the half-ass clearing attempt off the glass on the 2nd goal.
The boys definitely did not have their A game last night. Lindholm - I'm really not sure what to say. To be 6'4, 225lbs and be that fucking soft - I am really not sure that's the type of guy you want. I don't feel like our defense are hard to play against at all and teams like that go fucking nowhere come April.

What a lousy effort. Way too many passengers out there tonight.
Relying on the goalies to win the game is not working anymore.
Someone needs to tell DeBrusk he is playing for a contract. Right now I wouldn't give him 2 mill. Lindholm has turned into the invisible man. How does our defense only have 1 hit last night? 1?? Geekie?? Anybody seen him? JVR?? Anybody seen him either?
Monty better figure something out real quick or we are going to start sinking.
I hope Mac isn't out too long.

It’s funny that every person on this Board can see how soft this team was built yet management sits on their hands . We have a lot of big bodies that are soft as hell and we all no how that ends . We need some Western Canadian Nasty in the lineup 👊👊👊

Losing is the only thing that can bring about change. Management can’t fix a problem when our record is this good and they won’t even admit there’s anything wrong.
We don’t have a top six center. We have a third line center in Coyle and a second line winger at best in Zacha. We have no toughness. Lucic could have dragged a couple of our bigger boys into the fight but now that he’s gone we’ve got nobody who wants to step up. We have 6 D that are told to join the rush to supplement the attack but a forward group that doesn’t know how or are not willing to play any defence. The d-men are not that bad but our 5 on 5 defending is brutal.
Trade Debrusk and Grz for Elias Lindholm.
If we don’t trade players I’m guessing Monte takes the bullet at least by the end of season.

I like Hanafin but what are we giving up? I’m guessing Lohrei would go the other way. Hanifin would cost us at least Hampus money and what if Lohrei turns out to be just as good and we miss out on 2 years of his entry level contract money vs Hanifan’s 6.5 million extension. We can always try and send Grz and Lysell I guess. I’d definitely defer to your opinion Orym, I don’t watch Calgary that much. KJC, not sure if you read this but a good read..Question is: Can Bruins afford long term contracts to McAvoy, Lindholm and Hanifin?? And if Bruins do make trade for him, would Bruins consider trading Lindholm, maybe next summer?? chowderandchampions.com/posts/bruins-bring-in-perfect-hometown-addition-in-latest-trade-speculation-01hgy0091xc4I think signing Hanfin is a lot when considering Hampus Lindholm and McAvoy’s long term deals. I think we need to get better up front and we need cap space to do that. Maybe we should trade Hampus straight up for Hanifan. As long as we know we can hammer out the extension of course. Or what about going even bigger, Hampus Lindholm, Grzelyk and Debrusk for Elias Lindholm, Hanifan and yes AJ Greer. The contract amounts are very close, Calgary gets a long term deal in Hampus, Debrusk who probably wants to be back out west and we get a Boston boy in Hanifan, Lindholm obviously wants a change and we’ll take Greer for some toughness.

Part of me like that deal part of me dont..BUT I would love to trade Lindholm for Hanifin without a 2nd thpought, signed 1st..We have yet to see Jake play like he did last season before he got hurt at Winter Clasic..IF he's part of a trade, I would be happy he's out west at least but I still have confidence he'll turn this around..

I like Debrusk but here’s my problem, as you know he’s a ufa at the end of this season. He has made 4 million the last couple of seasons and most likely he’ll want a raise. He needs a fit or chemistry with a line or someone to get on track this year to get paid. If he can’t do that he’ll either be low balled or traded before the deadline. I want him to succeed but he has no Bergeron or Krejci type to get the most out of him. If we do get Debrusk signed I’d be good with Zacha being a part of some deal that gets Elias Lindholm.

Hampus has a no trade clause through 27-28. Zacha has 15 team no trade clause. Would love to see DeBrusk and Gryz and for Lidholm, but only of Lidholm signs a deal first.

You make perfect sense my friend, it's only the part of me that likes DeBrusk, always did so I'm a little bias for sure..At the end of the day, whatever is best for the Bruins, even trading Jake, I'm good with.. But honestly I wouldn;t worry about being playoff ready in December..What the Bruins do need to do is develop a chemistry and I'm guessing thats why Monty is shuffling up the lines so much..Define Boston Bruins hockey and do whatever it takes to play a certain style each and every night..My biggest concern is lack of physical play and that problem needs to be addressed, especially on the defense..Carlo, Lindholm, Grzelyk, Shatty, Mitchell, Zboril, can you get ant softer than that???
