Honestly, this is getting depressing..I dont know what else to say!! Well these are just opinions. Nobody knows until the time comes. I think crafor said it in an earlier post, we expected a down year and they’ve been better than I think anyone predicted before the season started. I don’t think we’ve been horrible by any stretch but I do believe we have too many weaknesses to have playoff success. As I’ve said before on many occasions, what the hell do I know anyway. 🥴

As I’ve said before on many occasions, what the hell do I know anyway. 🥴 KJC, When I made above quote I wasnt referring to your opinion, Crafars or anyone elses opinion on this board or any other..It's getting depressing because:: Especiallly on this board we all have pretty darn close to the same opinion..We all realize where Bruins are to in the standings but also we're smart enough to damn well know that we would be .500 at best without top notch goaltending which I believe is 2nd overall in league, maybe in save%, theyve been a life saver for us..When they have a mediocre game or simply a bad game, Bruins always lose so obviously we have lots of holes in the lineup..Sweeney done what he had to do last yr this time and to ice a team with what little cash he had to work with and being where we are right now looks pretty good even though some signings were a waste, Brown first comes to mind and his 2 yr contract was a waste but not a huge deal..Only problem is Beecher having to be in Prov because he costs the team over $900,000 while others like Heinen, Boqvist, Lauko, steen etc costs league minimun of $725,000 or close to that..In saying that, Beecher is pointless in close to 10 games in Ahl.. Sometimes I'm too optimistic, other times too pessimistic, lol depends on what mood Im in I guess BUT this board and/or its members never ever depresses me, just too much respect..I'm sorry it came out the wrong way, haha aint the 1st and certainly wont be the last but agree 100% with you, changes need to come and with some real cap space this summer, we desperately need more of a physical presence..Losing Lucic wasnt on DS but he never tried to replace him either, cash strapped I guess..Maybe Biggest team in league but softest too..

All good buddy, I knew you weren’t directing any comments at anyone, it is depressing, we’re playing a depressing game. Last year I was hoping for some adversity before we hit the playoffs so maybe whatever we’re going through right now is going to make us better when the time comes. It can’t hurt I guess.

They're in a pretty bad skid the past few weeks now and this losing leads in 3rd period, something needs to be done to fix that forsure..I remember last year when we were saying the Bruins need a challenge, like you said, a bit of adversity..Yea maybe this funk they're in might help down the road, lets hope so..Hopefully it'll give the Bruins some kind of edge come postseason but its hard to watch every night for sure..Thanks for reply buddie!!

I feel like a broken record with this team. The 3rd period ineffectiveness is getting old. They have to fix it--its a coaching problem......read it again ITS A COACHING PROBLEM. If you're guys arent sure of what simple plays to make to get a goal, it's a problem. It's also a "I got a guy I can put on the ice to score" deficiency problem.
We also made a decision as a family last night that we aren't giving the NHL any money in the form of tickets or merchandise until they fix the officiating. The amount of inconsistency is unbearable.
I was really happy with the shot percentages in the 1st. I'm not sure what happened after that. There are so many guys on this team that I like. But it seems fractured.

I follow @scoutingtherefs it gives the Refs for games there records and how many games they have Officiated. I feel Officiating is the worst part of this sport and getting worse unfortunately.

I 100% agree with your post and appreciate what you and your family decided to do..Officiating was really bad, very biased in fact back in the late 70's early 80's..I remember saying back then especially games IN MONTREAL how the refs would always determine the outcome of games..If Boston was leading by a goal with less than 5 mins left in game, guarenteed a penalty against them coming even if refs had to make up one..I remember saying back then it could never get worst than this..I agree wholeheartedly with you Kovs and we're not just talking about Bruin games, it's a problem accross the league. Coach Montgomery continues to shuffle the lines, last night Boqvist was on top line..Lines need to create chemistry and thats hard to do when you have different linemates every night..Those 3rd period lapses are getting old for sure as you stated and thats on the coach to fix..Bruins have now gone 6 games straight into Overtime and had a 4 game road trip that ended 1-0-3..Yea, never lost in regulation and took 5 of a possible 8 pts..Problem is, they should have went 4-0, 3-0-1 very worst..Remember earlier on when Bruins were getting outshot every game and then for a month turned it around and started outshooting opposition?? Well they seem to be gone back to their old ways especially 3rd periods. Bruins are simply too predictable and if we see it, be damn sure the opposing teams see it!! Great post Kovs!!

Thanks! glovemalfunction says he uses it frequently and he agrees with you. Watching games with a retired youth hockey official (of decades) definitely adds spice to the games. lol
