At this point in the season, most playoff teams are fine tuning small parts of their game, prepping for the post season. These guys just keep falling back into the same bad habits and patterns that they have all year long. They go a game, or two looking like they've turned a corner then shit all over themselves the next stretch of games. If this is how they're going to play in April, it's going to be another short run.

I think this team has to work extremely hard and be extremely focused at both ends of the ice to win. Sounds like an obvious thing to say but we can’t put in an average effort and expect to win on talent. We have a few creative players that can make plays but all four lines have to work to create turnovers, work to gain possession defensively and offensively. Sometimes Pasta or Marchand can put the team on their backs to win a game once in awhile but that’s not the recipe to success. We saw what they’re capable of last week but they have to prove they can put more than 3 or 4 games together and then fall back into their lazy habits. Getting booed off the ice is getting to be very common this year.

Getting booed off the ice is getting to be very common this year. And it seemed like Marchand was a bit butthurt over it the last time it happened, like there was no reason for it. Fans hate losing, but are generally smart enough to know the difference between just a loss and a complete lack of effort loss and won't take it out on the team. Too often this has happened this year, but the goalies have covered up a lot for the guys in front of them, but they aren't infallible. Last night was yet another example of too many guys taking the night off, mentally and physically. When your 4th line is showing up the other 3, in glaring fashion and in multiple games, there is a huge problem.

Let this sink when you get excited about this team
Bruins are 19-4-8 against playoff teams this season, and they are 19-10-7 against non-playoff teams this season.
Montgomery: “You’re gonna have nights like this. We have 91 points. We’re a good hockey team.”

How will they fair in those games?🤔🤷♂️ Hopefully W's!

Montgomery: “You’re gonna have nights like this. We have 91 points. Haven't we gone to OT more than any team in the league, or close to it? And what jumps out with that is not so much that they go to OT a lot, but how many times they've had the lead and folded in the waning moments of those games. And to add to that, how many of those OT games have been US being behind and forcing the OT and not the opponent? My memory sucks, but I can't remember the last time that happened.

Fourth line was creating all kinds of energy and chances needs other to join in unfortunately a lot of nights there MIA
