These collapses and giving away leads is very old. Not the kind of hockey that brings success in the playoffs.

Thoughts
Jake DeBrusk on his recent scoring success, “I feel like I’ve been playing pretty well. I think, finally, things are just going my way. I think the biggest difference between my years previous to this one is, I feel like I’ve been generating pretty consistently throughout.”

I'm happy we have him going into the postseason because if we traded him, God only knows what the return may of been..I would much rather have him for the playoff run and hoping he can be a major X factor as I like to call it!!!

I don’t mind his game but the statement above saying his play has been more consistent than years past I don’t see it 🤷♂️

I agree his game is better as in more well rounded than it ever has been. Definitely not any more consistent than it has been. It’s very understandable that he had his best season ever last year, he played with Marchand and Bergeron and the Bruins were deep. It’s fair to say we know what he is now, he’s been here for 7 years. I’m happy we didn’t trade him, I thought the returns were low for forwards at the deadline. Going forward it’s all about what we’re willing to pay to keep him. If his demands are based on last years numbers it’s not good. I’m okay with 5 million maybe but I think that won’t get it done. Also his contract shouldn’t be our top priority.

I guess it’s one thing to feel like you’re generating consistently and quite another to read the box scores.

Maybe DeBrusk contract isnt our top priority but its pretty darn close if he's still considered a top 6 player..I REALLY hope he gets resigned, that surprises no one BUT not a penny over 5.5 million..That is my maximun contract dollar wise and term? 4-6 years!!

He's an ok kid and he definitely has lineage, but he's not the superstar we all wanted him to be. H shows flashed of brilliance, but I'm not sure he has that elite level.

Elite players get alot more than what Jake will get OR expects to get..This is the 1st time I have seen Jake and Elite in the same sentence!!
