Soda looked good, Bergy's line looked good, Chara looked good, Kelly looked good....Looch did not. Too many bad passes from Dougie and Krug. Tuukka played well.
Nice way to start the year!

Thought Kelley played well too. Think he's more valuable at center though. It's not like Claude but he's going have to try a lot of combinations till he gets it right. See if they change anything up tomorrow.

Soda was great tonight, so was all of Bergeron's line. Kelly was good and the fourth line brought some good energy. I thought Spooner was good considering his line mates, Looch was horrible and Fraser is just our Fraser. Dougie was just flat out brutal tonight, he has to calm down and simplify things. Not a masterpiece but the effort was there and it'll come together eventually.

gotta keep soda's line together. they have always done well.
dougie, spare me with the blind passes across the middle.
robbins had 7 hits in 7 minutes if i heard that right and a solid fight. B. ROBBINS CREW shirts should be poppin up around the garden soon.
got the win but i dont like how they let the flyers hang around.

Boston's Bobby Robins, 32, played in his first NHL game. He had played 499 games in the U.S. minor leagues and in Europe after going to college at UMass-Lowell.
''It was awesome,'' said Robins, whose wife and 11-month-old daughter, Libby, were in the stands. ''After nine years to have that happen was a dream come true, and to play here at the Garden ... it was a very special feeling; I'll never forget it.''
He also got into his first fight, tangling with Luke Schenn in the second period.
''I know the brand of hockey these Boston fans like, and I just hope to be able to provide that. And to get that kind of reception was a great feeling,'' said Robins, who chatted with Schenn in the penalty box. ''He was asking if it was my first NHL game. So, I said, 'Yeah.' He just said, 'Good fight' - the normal stuff guys say after a fight.''{End of quote}
I thought that was pretty cool what was said in penalty box..Usually don't read that kind of stuff!!

I thought Soderberg was our best forward..Lucic have started slow before and I think Fraser gets sent down if we can squeeze Gagne under the cap!!

First night jitters over with now. Good to see a couple of Bruins go after the Flyer goon and pound him into the boards. He was asking for it, and good to see a couple of Bruins step up.
