You used to count on a Toronto game to boost the Bruins up - hopefully that continues.

You used to count on a Toronto game to boost the Bruins up - hopefully that continues. They've beaten the Ducks, Detroit and TBay of late, obviously we could and should win but we just can't score lately.

Toronto has been in most of their games and might? lead the league in losses by one goal. This game is no gimme - far from it. If they are intentionally tanking, the players they have on the ice don't know it. Hate to admit it, but a couple of their rookies show some real promise (actual NHL potential, and not your standard Maple Leaf hype)
As for the Bruins - what appears to be a poorly timed slump might just be their lack of a next level gear (lack of talent) showing its ugly head. While their opponents are bringing something extra to the rink this time of year, the Bruins bring their usual game and it's just NOT ENOUGH for late March.
So score enough tonight so that the league office and / or the referee hose job isn't the difference maker.
9th place is still possible.
