We owe the Caps an upset in the 1st round ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) that is true. were the b's the best team in the league that year or just defending champs? It was a 2 vs 7 matchup

The Rangers definitely have something to play for, they are a wild card team right now, tied in points with the Islanders. I'm sure they would like to get out of the wild card spot, possible get home ice eventually.

I don't think they would tank either but if I was them I would rather be the wild card and play Florida than finishing third and playing Pittsburgh.

We can't forget either that Fleury is concussed and they are winning right now with 21 year old Matt Murray who has a grand total of 12 NHL games under his belt. Albeit an impressive 9-2.

Big win. They live to die another day. Wings play the Rags on Saturday afternoon, Bruins play the Sens on Saturday night. Philly fucks goats. Do or die. I wish that was the case but Bruins play same time as Wings. 2pm eastern

I agree with Seabass. If Rangers win, they play Pittsburgh, if they lose, they have Florida. Really concerned about that game. BUT on the other hand, I'm sure Penguins would just LOVE to knock Philly out of contention Saturday. If Bruins and Wings win, the pressure will certainly be on Philly to win at home against Pens and then on the road against Islanders.
Bruins and Wings games are 12:30pm Est Philly game is 3pm Est
Bruins take care of Ottawa and they have a great chance to get in. I just hope they don't lose because of that shootout loss to lowly Carolina. That would be devastating or like KJC said, Philly winning in a shootout against Islanders..Knowing Boston Bruins..well you know!!

Light it up vs St. Louis and pull of a big win vs Detroit. And was Boston that good, or was Detroit that bad? A little of both maybe - Wings all but told Boston they could have the game - - and the Bruins for a change jumped all over it.
When the stars align and they are into it, the Bruins can make a good showing. Problem is, you never know when or where and its far too infrequent. They could just as easily turn around and take a big dump and lose to Ottawa.
