That was 2 totally different Bruins teams out there. 1st half... terrible. 2nd half... WTF?? Where did that come from? Stellar night for Marchand/Pasta/Backes. Nice to see Pasta and Marchand getting some mojo going. I kept noticing Czarnik out there.. he skates! Rask recovered after that bad start.. but still was only average. Need him to pick it up. Nice to start the season with a W. Yep, agree with what you said. But Rask settled down and stopped last 20 shots so like the whole Bruins team, took them awhile to get going. Little concerned over the other 3 lines. Top line had 18 shots, half the shots as they had 37 shots. BUT it'll take DK awhile to get going, no Bergeron and 2 rookies {forwards}playing their 1st game..Once Bergy returns I think we'll see a better overall effort.

i stayed awake as long as i could...i didnt give up..the b's tied it at three and i was getting heavy eyes and fell asleep with tv on..i heard scores in my sleep and woke during the post show.
this team looks great with the young players and i knew backes would be great. he is twice the player louis is and he will score as much as ericsson and he is a leader and he scraps it up on the ice. i luv that...maybe montreal games will be different.
slow start and i was pissed..rask look iffy on that first goal but it looks like he battened down the hatches.
what do you do when bergie gets back? that line last night was impressive obviously...six goals between them...
MARCHMOND IS A FREAKING SUPER STAR. WHAT A DEAL....HE'S GETTING BETTER AND BETTER.

Bruins showed a ton of speed up front and the back end moved the puck up fast as well. They just need some time to get some chemistry..Just so glad the Bruins are Backes 😉

Missed the game again as I have Men's league every Thursday night. I wish the Bruins would change their schedule for me...more Wednesday games or something. Rask has got stop that first shot. He is lucky the team didn't just quit right then and there. Marchand is on fire right now. I hope he keeps it up.

I am stuck on M-F 3:30pm-12:00am shift for at least 3 weeks. Then back to Mon-Thur 7:00am-5:30pm. Of it started the 1st week of reg season!:-( Then got pulled over last nite (71mph in 45 another reason I hate this BS schedule NO traffic means I can go!) So I get home 1:15 watch hilights. They didn't show B's 1st goal, did I guess right Pasta?? I thought on CBJ's 1st It was tipped by Tuukka's glove ever so slightly?? after that they looked good. Looking fwd to watch game tomorrow night. Go Bruins & hope Offwego enjoys the game!!!!

MARCHMOND IS A FREAKING SUPER STAR. WHAT A DEAL....HE'S GETTING BETTER AND BETTER. Haha, sounds like you read my post about you. You know I was only playing with you. Actually I was hoping you were still online so you could respond.Lol, all in fun my buddie!! Plus, I realize you have an early rise, unlike me as dr has me took off work. Like you, I said since day 1 Backes would be a fan favorite cause he plays the old Bruins style. He had the Gordie Howe hat trick with a fight, 2 goals and an assist. Marchand is certainly proving he's a superstar, now and in the World Cup. He can play with the best of them and I fully expect him to finish top 3 in goals and top 15 in points. But when Bergy returns, I'd go back to DP-PB-BM and DB_DK_AC. Spooner can then centre the 3rd line. Hayes should play on 4th line or not play at all. I'd give him 10 games to show he's better than last season and if not, the Ducks are looking for a 3rd line winger on the cheap, 2-2.5 million per season. Annaheim just might take him off our hands. Rask stopped the last 20 shots. Seems once the team started playing better, he played better. But that 1st goal was definitely a softy. I thought Miller, O'Gara and Carlo played well. Miller played great although he was a -1. BUT if he was on the ice when Marchands line was on, he'd be something like a +4..Playing in their first game, Carlo and O'Gara played well. Carlo had an assist and a +5 while O'Gara didn't see so much icetime, he quietly went about his business.

Thought Z might have been a touch quicker on his skates and making a play with the puck, not holding onto it too long as in the past. Just what the doctor ordered if he can make that adjustment to his game.

I liked allot of things about last night. The Backes line was off the charts for starters and won the game for us. Krejci was okay but he's a playmaker and needs to develop a chemistry with his line mates. I really like Heinen, I know he didn't accomplish much or get much time last night but he has the smarts and does the little things really well for a brand new rookie. I think he'll gain Julien's trust fairly quickly.
I liked the young D last night but I'm guarded on the optimism, not sure if Columbus is much of a measuring stick right now. Carlo will make mistakes but he has the goods without a doubt. O'Gara is lower end than Carlo but he's older and he did get better as that game went on last night. Not sure about C. Miller but not bad last night.

Think Miller has a little bit of Dougie Hamilton in him when it to comes to finishing checks. He had a an opportunity to finish a couple guys last night with a purpose but decided not to. Even more important when a heavy team like Columbus is looking to finish every check they can. Not a good reputation to have as a defenseman, have to at least keep those forwards guessing out there.
