David Backes has shown his nasty side in each of the Bruins first two games. Just three minutes into the opener, he got into it with Josh Anderson in front of the Columbus net and both were sent to the box for roughing. Against Toronto, he dropped the gloves with Nazem Kadri just two minutes into the contest. It appeared Backes may have hurt himself during the fight, but Julien said he will be in the lineup Monday night. "He's fine," said Julien. "He'll be ready to go [against Winnipeg]."

Sure would be nice if they got some production of of the 2nd or 3rd lines tonight.
I would like to see Belesky - Krejci - Hayes(Or ANYBODY ELSE) Heinen - Spooner - Czarnik

could jimmy hayes be blake wheeler 2.0? i remember similar displeasure with him when he was here. It is nice to see Wheeler have some success. He certainly didn't seem to be on that path in Boston, but somewhere along the line he learned what an offside was and lo and behold... look what happened!

could jimmy hayes be blake wheeler 2.0? i remember similar displeasure with him when he was here. Wheeler always had good jets so he's got that on Hayes. Hayes has little speed, not great hands, size that he doesn't use very effectively. I was impressed with him a few times I saw him play with the Panthers but its just not happening in Boston. Maybe a change in scenery would be good for him. I also wonder how long CJ stays with the Spooner playing the Wing experiment. To me he looks like a fish out of water.

Holy crap. 3rd line especially is pathetic, even 2nd line..More proof that Marchand GOT to be on powerplay..I don't care if he do hog the puck..

That review was the dumbest thing about last season and they never saw fit to take it out.

If not for Tuukku, God forbid what the score might be..1st line pretty quiet that period..certainly Bruins spent a lot of time on the PK..
Chara's goal called off. This happened a few times last season against Bruins. But never the other way around..Isnt Bruins coaching staff not smart enough to see an offside against other team??

Carlo is really impressive, especially on the powerplay..This offside rule is so frustrating..Why are they smart enough to see it, Im sure the opposition team does it too yet our coaching staff never disputes it!!!

Rask is playing great so far and Carlo is getting better every game.

Speaking of Carlo, he's leading team in icetime 12+ minutes.

without a doubt our best line is the 4th line. Did Schaller make that much of a difference to that line?? Anyone know why Czarnik isn't playing??

Good thing Rask is playing good...looks like pros vs an ahl team at times.

Agree Seabass, Rask stopped 26/27 and that's why we're leading 2-1 even with all the penalties against us..If Bruins play better 3rd period, hopefully a successful 2-1 roadtrip. Starts 3rd period with full 2 minute powerplay..But Jets were all over us that period no doubt. If Chara's goal wasn't offside, we'd be up 3-1 after Being dominated..Funny some games are like that..
