Good to finally see Krejci become a factor, hope it lasts. Claude with an interesting quote. "There’s still a lot of teaching to be done. We’ve got a lot of young guys who have a lot to learn. We have to stick to the program and keep working with these guys.” Kind of makes it seem that him and DS are on the same page. All for taking the traditional approach of shipping some players out first to create a more urgent mindset. If he were to be let go also agree it would be Cassidy.

Agreed, Claude is pretty much throwing the youth of the team under the bus when they're not even close to his biggest problem. I think he needs to go. I hope it's not Cassidy, don't like him and what's he done ever?? The P Bruins are looking better this year IMO without Cassidy.

I didn't get that he's throwing the young guys under the bus at all from that quote. I just think that he's more stating the obvious than anything and that is this team has a lot of young guys who are learning the ropes and there are going to be growing pains, whether everyone likes it, or not. To this point in the season, the only kids he's been sitting have been the young D like Morrow, or C. Miller and I think that has more to do with having options, platooning them and see which ones separate themselves. These days, that looks to be C. Miller. Carlo has been a mainstay for obvious reasons. Pasta and Czarnik have had plenty of rope this season and are being used in lots of different situations. Blidh also seems to have gotten himself a roster spot and is working out well on the 4th line. Spooner has been under the microscope a bit more this year, but I think that is a result of the year he had and them wanting him to progress and become a better player. Our biggest problem is our best and highest paid players aren't scoring. Marchand plays hard, but isn't scoring, the same can be said for Bergeron (I believe the speculation of him nursing an injury to be accurate) and Krejci who is just now starting to amount to something besides nothing. There are 3 out of 4 of our top 4 scorers from last year who are WAY off the pace. If any of these 3 had brought more to this point in season from a goal scoring perspective, we wouldn't be hanging onto a playoff spot by our toenails. So what is the answer? We're nearly halfway through the season and other than a flash here and there, these 3 haven't delivered for whatever reason, so I don't know what else they can do, but either swing a trade, or continue to wait for the corner to get turned...but at this rate, that could happen well after this team has been eliminated from the playoffs.

I agree with you that it's our big boys that are not getting it done so I think Claude should be saying exactly that. I don't believe the kids like C. Miller or Carlo are hurting us near as much as Krug who can't hit the net, can't win a puck battle in his own end and commits an enormous amount of turnovers. Pasta has been great, Czarnik keeps improving every game, Blidh is a plumber but he does his fourth line job well. The vets are just not getting it done, we can pick one and ship him out for 50 cents on the dollar which won't help or we can dump the coach. Babcock won a up in 2008, Bylsma in 2009 and both have moved on. Q is not going anywhere but even Sutter in LA has been underachieving and could come under scrutiny. I have to admit I'm ready for a change. If we miss the playoffs this year I hope we clean house, Claude because he's shelf life expired and Sweeney/Neely because they showed zero balls in addressing the situation now.

In Kevan Miller's last 32 games and Adam McQuaid's last 32 games they have combined for 0 goals, 1 assist in 1120 minutes.

Wasn't about throwing anyone under the bus, just Claude toeing the line. Only know what I've read about Cassidy but Providence has way more talent this year and the Bruins D is better.

I have no answer for whats going on with Bergy. If he has a minor injury why is his game fine everywhere else except scoring goals and assists?? He's still one of the best in faceoffs, still good defensively. I just have no answer.
You'd think for a team that's among the leaders in shots, they would be at least top 5 in offence, nowhere near it. No doubt we'd be fighting for next yrs 1st rd pick if not for Tuukku. Maybe he slowed down a little but so has Price and others. Bruins are desperate for a decent back up and I wish we had James Reimer from Panthers.
If this team can get their chit together, they could be quite a team to reckon with. I still think the offence will come if they continue to shoot. The PP has to be much better. I think its VERY RISKY to let Julien go. I know, he pisses me off a lot too but to replace him with Cassidy??? THAT scares the hell out of me because I always heard bad things about him when he was coach in Providence. I think a lot of players really hate that guy.. I would stick with Julien for this season and see what happens,
