My one question will continue to be, why isn’t it done yet? Needs time for negotiations on both sides, his wants $$$ + Term B's want Cap friendly! Hopefully they can get an agreement. Pasta doesn't come across since day 1 as a ego/Me type person. I just hope the Bruins can offer a contract the is fair & Pasta feels the same!!! I am SO glad it's getting to training camp /Pre-season!!!!! Let's Go Bruins!!!!

My one question will continue to be, why isn’t it done yet? It is a big gamble by both sides I think. Pasta could put the guaranteed money in the bank for the next 8 years if he signed now. Sweeney could sew it up at a fair price. Pasta could get hurt or have a MONSTER year and elect for the open market which would change the landscape big time. I feel like Sweeney isn't going to trade him and will think he can get it done later on in the season. I'm still very nervous about the whole thing!

If it was just about the money I feel both sides would get it done but when you hear whispers out of Czechia about Pastrnak wanting a cup and worrying about a Bruins rebuild (unless that’s a tactic to drive up the price) you have to be more than a little concerned.

Yeah I think how things go this season will have a huge impact on it. If we are still competitive and have some kind of plan to replace Bergeron/Krejci, I'd like to think Pasta resigns. If we tank it hard, Bergy/Krejci look like they intend to hang 'em up at the end of the season and Sweeney is twiddling his thumbs on a #1 and #2 center, Pasta will be gone-zo! Makes you wonder if we maybe should have went harder for Eichel? Definitely risky and I think at the time I said pass but we need a legit #1 center for the future and with Eichel you have a decent shot at filling that need. I don't see anyone on the roster currently being half the player Bergeron ever was.

What I find frustrating is both sides are saying the right things..Yea what came out of Czechia news wasnt good but Pastrnak is saying all the right things now..But saying and doing could be 2 different things. Damn, just get it done for the sake of both player and team..Pasta or anyone else cant guarentee this is Bergeron or Krejci's last season, Zacha is another Czech born player as is Zboril so there's 2 players from his homeland and around his age or a little younger..There's incentive to sign longterm in supposedly the city he loves and he cant sign 8 yrs anywhere else in the league..Personally I think Sweeney should be pushing hard to get him signed before he plays a game, just too risky leaving it and maybe losing him for nothing..

Dreger on Pastrnak talks: "Both sides are assessing market. Talks are heating up. Pastrnak hopeful something will get done sooner rather than later."
I've said it a bunch of times now, but I'd be surprised if this isn't done by training camp. No one wins if it lingers into RS.

That sounds like good news..Certainly seems like he wants to resign in Boston..Hopefully his pricetag isnt out of range,,

Why not for kicks we predict when/if Pastrnak resigns..I actually think this week so I'm gonna say Tuesday, Oct 4th and he signs same deal as McAvoy, 8 yrs averaging 9.5 per season..CANT believe this is October!!! Sept must have went same place as July, seems here one day, gone the next but we had a great summer weather wise..Now into my favorite time of year, love fall weather and everything we do around here this time of yr like "Got to get me moose boy""

Pasta signs that day. 8 years 88 million Congrats, 27 years, very impressive. 8 x 11 makes me more than a little 🤢 Given the other salaries that have been handed out I do agree with Seabass on that AAV. Pasta will be expensive and to think he should get less then 10 in the current NHL landscape is just silly. If he signs for less I will be happy but given the age, mileage, and production he is now 10+ per season.

I wonder what he is these past 5 or 6 years without Marchand and Bergeron production wise, also what’s his drop off going to be without Bergeron and Marchand? Reasonable questions because his line mates will not be around too much longer. I’d hate to be saddled with an 8x 11 contract while he’s doing his solo curl and drag routine over and over for six years.

You guys are putting up some big numbers! I guess we're good at tolerating, lol...Looks like my prediction of Pasta signing today is all but gone, appox an hour left..I still think McAvoys salary of 8 yrs at 9.5 per season is a good contract for Pasta..Way I look at it when it comes to value, if Bruins HAD to go without Pastrnak or McAvoy, it would be adios Pasta..So if 9.5 is good enough for Mac, it should be good enough for Pasta..There's SO MANY overpayments this season, it puts Sweeney in a bad position when it comes to negotiations with Pasta'a agent..Anything over 10 million and he could be headed out of Boston..Cannot lose him for nothing next yr..

I wonder how "sizeable" we are talking. Gap could be a couple million a year now I'd think. Could he be after "Connor McDavid" money? 12.5 million per? Panarin makes 11.6 million per, I'd have to think it's at least that high but we know how agents in this league can be!

IDK what league it is. Sometimes someone needs to ALERT these players that is WHAT they ARE A Sports/Entertainment Player!! If they had to do a REAL job Would they make 0.10 of what they make for a 3 or 5 yr Mulity $$ deal Let alone endorsements?? Hockey players are the most down to hearth in all Pro sports I feel, so when Pasta's Agent claims "Wide Apart" in negotiations I call him out!! I hope they can get a "Cap" friendly deal done & go 🤲fwd!!!Let's Go Bruins!!!'
