Isn't freezing cold weather great? Dry air AND condensation on house windows to deal with.

It is interesting stuff, I just don't buy into it. There have already been a few predictions of armageddon in the past that haven't come to fruition, so I don't see this one being any different. I can definitely see WWIII happening, but not a great flood that will engulf all the land as the Mayans predicted. Nor do I see all the oceans turning to blood.

If the Mayans were so good at predicting the future how come they failed to see their own demise? Good point. On the other hand, the various possible explanations for the demise of the Mayans are worth investigating. May be instructive.

Finally breaking freezing today for the first time in almost 10 days, and most of those 10 days were single digit highs I actually want freezing this weekend. Me and the neighbors finally got the snow off the pond. Got a pool guy in the neghborhood so he is planning to pump from the streams and flood over the ice today to give us a clean surface.

Global warming is a misnomer. Its actually changing of weather patterns. For each miniscule temperature change, the resulting change is weather patterns is disturbed. Don't remember what they said about the extent or % of change. Right now this area is actually getting weather that is normal for lower Canada north of Wisconsin.
