Once more World Series Baseball with our Boston Red Sox . Yet again another Obstruction situation will now for ever be etched in stone . So how does this call on October 26 , 2013 compare to the Call on October 14 , 1975 in World Series game # 3 . www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRw2_KvHcPkJust maybe one day all these umpires should now sit at the same desk table and ask themselves the $ 64,000.000 question what is Obstruction ? Sad day when once more Umpires come in the way and decide our past time .

While I don't like the call because there was nothing Middlebrooks could have done to get out of the way other than not try for the ball, it's the right call given the rule as it's written. I think there's obviously an opportunity to revisit but that doesn't change the outcome of game 3.

in 1975 Ed Armbrister should have been out but he interfered and cost the Red Sox a 10 inning loss in game 3 . 38 years later the same similar situation has come back and it now haunts the Red Sox . So it was a bad day for MLB
