No Lysell for the P Bruins last night. They play a third consecutive game today so maybe they’re being careful with the kid. In just 3 games, the kid has 6 pts already..The young Russian Merkulov has 4 goals and assist in 5 games..So Lysell missed 2 games but still leads team in points, soon be called up I wonder?? Not really a rush to do it with Boston playing so well.. No rush, but more importantly no room right now. Spending most if not all of the season in the A should be good for both of them, but there can always be short call ups in case of injury.

Totally agree with you..Funny you know, before season began, we figured the Bruins would almost be in a position to rush the kid into the nhl with all the injuries..What we didnt expect was the play of Foligno and Greer just to name a couple. Speaking of Greer, was he actually a healthy scratch last game?? If so, that puzzles me!!

Ryan Mougenel on Johnny Beecher, who had strong game tonight:
"From the 1st shift he was involved. I was really impressed with Johnny Beecher tonite. That's how he's going to make it to the NHL. That's it, it's straight lines, it's inside and it's hard"
"It's finishing through the body. And then when he has an opportunity to burn a D wide, he does it, takes it to the net with courage. I was really proud of how he responded"
"It hasn't been an easy two weeks for him, I don't think. It says a lot about the kid that he responded the way he did"

As bad as that is I just think about how this kid must have had zero role models and very little supervision as a kid. I don’t know the entire situation but I don’t think a 14 year old kid should serve a life sentence for bullying. If he has been surrounded by good people since his problems and continues to be surrounded by good people maybe he will turn into a good person.

I think that this is going to go downhill fast and only get worse as the day goes on. I know there are a ton of mitigation factors in all of this and we probably only know a few. Did he apologize or did he not apologize to the poor kid and his family? Has he undergone "treatment" or had classes/lessons on bullying? Has he really learned anything over the years? What he did was kind of psychotic in my opinion. He says he was 14 and it was a bad thing that he did. Well...he actually did it from 7 to 14. That is a long time and a some of that blame is on his parents.
What concerns me is that the team leadership (Bergy, Marchand....etc) asked why? Hopefully this doesn't affect their play.
If he should play in Providence or Maine is he going to be targeted? I would think so.
I also believe in second chances but not sure if he deserves one in the NHL.
My guess is that he doesn't last the weekend before SweeNeely figure out is was a bad idea.

I definitely think Sweeney needed to be sure before he committed to this whole situation. I hope it doesn’t turn into a fiasco or distraction.

What I read on Wiki is that a letter of apology was read in court to the family from Miller..IF this shit was going on from the time Miller was 7 til he was 14, where were his parents?? Our kids would have been severely punished if they pulled a stunt like that, maybe grounded for a year but thankfully our 2 boys turned out great and didnt go nowhere close to being prejudice or rascist..
As a hockey player, he's only 5'9'' 170lb really small dman..He's gonna have it tough no matter where he plays and why would DS do anything to disrupt the team like this?? Boston dont need the bad publicity especially with the way they're playing and JUST before playing in Toronto and National television where SN and CBC will be all over this..Maybe I'll skip tomorrow's game.

Last thing the Bruins need right now or deserve is negative Canadian media crap..With the game shown all across Canada on CBC and SportsNet, you can be damn sure they wont be talking about Bruins 10-1 start..Rather the conversation will be Sweeney signing Miller to an ELC..He's a very small defenseman so what really gives here?? Seems he has some offense in his game YET no other team signed him, WHY is that?? Screw it, not gonna worry about it, think about it anymore cause this Bruins team deserves so much more after what they have accomplished so far..

Ladies and gents at this time when we the fan base are feeling optimistic and as good as we’ve felt about things in a long time dumb and dumber and the smartest , most woke guy in the room are back. If you wanted to think of something you could do to torpedo what you’ve managed to accomplish this season, this would qualify. Somehow I don’t think Willie O’Ree is onboard.

Not sure what they are thinking. Sweeney didn't even sound confident in the decision. He couldn't even defend it. "I don't know if this is the right decision" What the hell are they doing? This makes no sense.
I'm embarrassed that the players are even being asked about this. What an unnecessary distraction. My goodness!

Bettman has stepped in and said the league was not consulted and he is not eligible to play in the nhl now or in the future at this point.
