I don't think either TOR, or CAR were especially good matchups for us, but as badly as they shit hammered us this year, I think I'd rather play these guys. Part of it is, if we lose the series, it won't sting quite as bad as it would if it were the Loafs.

Well, a few of the TSN guys have the Canes going to the final but none of those dummies do much of a deep dive into individual rounds. Itās understandable though, most people look at out goaltending with zero playoff games under their belt and the 0-3 regular season results.
We have two good goalies, both are good enough but one has to step up and show theyāre unflappably and win games.
Oct 28th 0-3 loss. Our lineup was a mess before Jan 1st. Coyle was second line center, Debrusk was a mess, none of the new signings had settled in.
Jan 18th 1-7 loss. We were starting to turn a corner in January but this was during the time of the Tuukka tryout. It was bad, 5 goals against in the first and we were done.
Feb 10th 0-6 loss. That wasnāt good but no Bergeron, no Marchand and Linus wasnāt stellar that night either although team D wasnāt overly helpful.
Sounds like I have lots of excuses but I think we can beat the Canes in round one. Bergeron line and McAvoy/Lindholm against the Aho line and we should at the very least draw that to a stalemate. Our second and third line will have shut down their matchups and chip in here and there and we should make this a long series.
We just need a win in Carolina in the first two games.

Think the best is yet to come for this team. Have had a very good 2nd half to the season. Sured up the D with an all star caliber top pairing guy, have some depth and are healthy at the right time.

Gryz and Carlo need to be stronger.
Mac and Lindholm need to play a lot of minutes.
They can win this thing. Shake Raanta up early and get in his grill. Make their top line pay with constant checking.

Agree on Grz and Carlo, they need to be top notch.
Also agree on third line needing to be an x-factor. The Canes third line is really good as well and ours needs to win the head to head match up. If theyāre slightly better thatās all I want!
