They looked done after game 2, but it has been nice to see they have some chutzpa left. Whoever wins the next one takes the series I am thinking so hopefully the momentum from yesterday carries over.

Lindholm skated today with normal jersey and tinted visor.

Cassidy: Not ruling Lindholm out, but not 100% in yet either. Needs final clear from doctors.
“The fact that he’s skating is a positive.”

They should have a more confidence going into this one after a couple of W’s at home. Keep them away from Sway, get some production from the other lines.

I didn’t mind Mike Reilly the last couple of games. I’m worried about putting Lindholm in if he’s less than 100%

I’m worried about putting Lindholm in if he’s less than 100% Yep same here, especially with no McAvoy on his line..Maybe play Brown especially for protection?? I know it's a risk defensively but you can be damn sure he's a marked man because Canes know he isnt 100% so someone needs to keep the goons away from him..In saying that it WAS a clean hit that caused the previous or ongoing injury..

IF series goes to 7 games and McAvoy DONT have covid, he should be available correct? Someone mentioned about being out 5 game so he should be good to go Saturday if series goes that long.

Their series lead now erased, the Carolina Hurricanes know what they must do to get back on track when they host the Boston Bruins in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series Tuesday night.
It begins with staying out of the penalty box.
"We took too many," Carolina coach Rod Brind'Amour said. "I don't know what they ended up with, how many, it just felt like the whole game we were short-handed. Their top guys are elite as they come. You just can't give them those looks."
The Hurricanes took eight penalties in a 5-2 loss in Game 4 on Sunday. Six were in the second period, one of which was a double minor that carried over into the third. The Bruins converted twice to tie the game 2-2 and notch the game-winner 44 seconds into the final frame to even up the series.
"Those guys are really good hockey players and they've been doing it for a long time, veteran guys who have won the Stanley Cup," Carolina forward Vincent Trocheck said. "They know what it takes. We have to make sure we're limiting them, but they're going to get their chances and score their goals. We just have to be a little more disciplined."
As the series shifts back to Raleigh, N.C., the Hurricanes hope to get back to the formula that saw them stake out a 2-0 series lead.
Carolina scored five times in each of the first two games but was held to two goals in each of the two meetings in Boston.
"It starts over now," Brind'Amour said. "We'll just regroup. You should have emotion right now, it should hurt, and it should bother you. Then you start fresh, and you're excited we've got another game to play."
The Bruins returned to an old formula to find success in their past two games. Coach Bruce Cassidy reunited "The Perfection Line" -- with Patrice Bergeron centering Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak -- midway through Game 2. The trio combined for 10 points in Game 4, with Marchand accounting for half of that (two goals, three assists).
"(He) takes it on himself to help the team in any way he can," Bergeron said of Marchand. "He always rises up to the occasion every time there's a big moment. There's no surprises there."
While the Bruins are feeling good about themselves heading into Game 5, they know they can't rest on their laurels.
"There's a lot of pride in the room, a lot of character," Marchand said. "We've always shown that and luckily we were able to pull out a couple of wins. Regardless of how the next game plays out, we have to make sure we're prepared. They're going to come out hard."
Boston will once again be without defenseman Charlie McAvoy, who entered COVID protocol on Sunday and was not expected to make the trip.
There was some good news on the back end, however, as Hampus Lindholm participated in an optional skate on Monday. Lindholm has missed the past two games after being injured in Game 2.
"I'm not going to rule him out, but I'm not putting him in either right now," Cassidy said. "I have to hear from the doctors that he's cleared. I don't need to see anything. If he's cleared, he's in."

I heard that if he has back to back days of negative tests he could play. With that said he wouldn’t even have taken the original test to begin with if he wasn’t already feeling poorly. He could possibly be feeling horribly and be struggling with his breathing. (Of course I mean by professional athlete standards) Also we need to guard against any spread of virus around the room. I’m actually concerned Charlie McAvoy might not be the only one.

It’s funny how the league decides to enforce regular season penalty tolerance and don’t really inform teams. It would have been nice to know playoff tolerances weren’t in effect this year.

We have to keep doing what we’re doing these past couple of games. Get on the score sheet and keep the lead, play physical, frustrate those bastards and keep the middle of our zone clear enough so Swayman can see what’s coming at him.

He wouldn’t test if he had a case of the sniffles for sure.

No McAvoy or Lindholm again tonight..I thought it was looking good for a Lindholm return but apparently not..But like KJC said, IF he's not 100%, it's better to keep him on ice..Or rather off the ice..Hahha one for Madmarx!!

I think most of us would agree that in the first two games the Bruins played with the intensity of February regular season hockey, dog days if you will. This is not meant as a slight to Lindholm because he’s a very good defensemen but probably even more so for him on the low intensity level. He hasn’t played playoff hockey in 5 years, he also has a low panic switch as skilled defensemen do, I just think he was lacking a little on that sense of urgency his first couple of games. Hopefully he comes back 100% and he keeps his head on a swivel and moves pucks just a little quicker.

The Estevan Bruins of the SJHL won the league championship on Friday in seven games against the Flin Flon Bombers. This is a good omen for the Boston Bruins I'd say!
This is a must win tonight. Carolina has last change so they will get the matchups they want and I am fully expecting we will be penalized heavily tonight to even out from Game 4. I hope the PK can hold up.
Go Bruins!
