I think this may be almost as shitty a return as the JT trade...not quite, but damn close. I guess the ultimate determination is if PITT wins it all.

The other thing that Wilbur mentioned is in light of how this went down and Iginla seemingly giving the Flames no other option, maybe he's not the type of personality they need in the room. My memory sucks, but I thought I remember when Bourque left that he told Harry to go with the best deal he could get...a pretty big difference in character there.

ok, lets relax here.
jerome iginla was not believed to be going to LA b/c former coach sutter is there and he does not believe in nastalgia and didnt want him.
this is not the jerome iginla that lead the flames to the cup so many years ago.
this is a jerome iginla that tunes coaches out and wants a last ditch effort to get a cup on the coattails of someone else (crosby)
we dont need him. we dont want him.

Bourque didn't have a big endorsement deal with NyQuil like Iginla has. Being on the inside of that Miami Heat clique that Crosby has going over there will help Jarome's endorsements. But winning aside, being on a team of highly skilled angels over in Pittsburgh beats being associated with the knuckle dragging Bruins. Plus the Pens are not hated in Canada the way Boston is. Don't think Iginla's agent wasn't aware of all this.

Feaster's name might be mud for a while from the other GMs. And in my eyes, he owes it to the Flames to do whats best for the Flames org and their future - - not what's best for Iginla, loyalty or not.

Fuck Whitney. Seriously! With the way he has been a whiny bitch about playing in Edmonton we don't need a player like that. Iginla with the shit he pulled too is the last thing we need. I want players that want to play hockey and win. We don't need attitude in the locker room. I hope Pittsburgh folds it up like a cheap tent in the first round again so we can shut up all the Pens fans bragging that they are 2013 Cup Champs already.

Why Calgary EVER went with Feaster is still beyond me. He was the fucking GM of the Lightning when Calgary lost in the Cup Final in 2004! Feaster has a fucking ring on his mantle that came at the expense of the Flames. I know its business and people need to be able to put things aside but if I ever was the GM of the Montreal Canadiens you bet your ass I'd be trying to sink them hah. With shitty deals like he has been pulling it looks more like Feaster is working for every other team in the league besides the Flames. I am not a conspiracy theorist at all but Feaster deserves to be fired. He is absolutely destroying the Flames. He got a bag of fucking pucks for Iginla and didn't even give the fans a chance to say goodbye to a player who was an absolute hero and meant everything to that city.

wow what a crap day to be a Bruin fan....went to bed last night mad cause we lost to the fucking habs AGAIN but consoled myself that Iggy would be a Bruin.....find out this morning that nope he's going to PUTTZBURG, at first I thought it was some kind of joke started by a sinister Hab fan but nope it was true. But if it's true and iggy likes the way PUTTZBURG plays then hope he's happy there. and if that is indeed the case glad Feaster ends up with egg on face for worshipping at the altar Cindy. FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK....
that is all! fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck ok maybe not all.....

Concerns me that Whitney is a usless local, and PC might try and calm the masses by offering up a local. PC does this bone headed move, and his period of grace is over, and he's on my shit list.

Why FUCKING PITTSBURGH?! Now we have to listen to all the bullshit for the next month about how Pittsburgh is going to just roll over everyone and Crosby is going to "pass the Cup to Iggy much like the way Sakic did for Bourque" like give me a fucking break TSN.
Are there any chances we actually land St. Louis? I'm hearing a lot of noise about it but I don't see that happening either. That would make me feel a little better though. Believe it or not we have two Iginlas on our team, Nathan Horton and Milan Lucic for the most part bring the same thing that Iginla brings. St. Louis is a much different talent and he adds something we don't have.

I do agree with those that say Martin St. Louis would be the better addition. I do think he would fit the B's better and bring more leadership ala Recchi then Iginla would have.

St.Louis is signed for years to come , much trickier deal to get done and the price would be very high ..35+ deal also.

St. Louis needs to come to Boston. Then his yelow stick would match his uniform. Seriously though, I'd much rather have St. Louis than Iginla. Iginla reminds me of Hossa. I'd almost pull for the Canadiens over the Pens at this point.

Until they've won it, they're still just another horse in the race.
