I think that it will be tough to find a trading partner for awhile. So many teams are within a couple of points of the playoffs. I think it could be a busy deadline day.

You could be right but once one Team makes a move others will follow .The West is a lot closer than the East as far as teams still in the play-off mix .

reading the other board some of the asking prices are ridiculous. Not sure how accurate the posters are but if they're right PC won't be doing to much and I can't blame him.

It's not a rumor but I wonder what the chances are we could get someone like Ryan Smith from EDM.
Im sure it is a long shot at best and I know he loves EDM but they need forth liners right? They have too many of the same type players according to Lowe and he isnt just gonna give them away, but what would our lineup look like with a Smith?
Just thinking outside the box about who we might target.

@thebruinsblog: #Bruins Neely just told the Sports Hub that if he could only pick 1, he'd trade for a F over a D #BruinsTalk
Gotta agree we need more goals ..

sounds good, just don't want to trade away everything for a rental ya know. Reading the other boards is driving me crazy.

@globekpd: Like ANA, would not surprise me to see Bruins finalize long-term deal for Rask, maybe 5 years, $32m.

It definitely sounds like a PC type subtle depth signing/trade.

For WO "Thompson is mostly a center, but he could shift out to wing . Anyone who’s sick of watching Jay Pandolfo fire passes into opponents’ shin pads and fall over during every battle on the wall would like to see Thompson skating the wing on either the third or fourth line when Kelly comes back (if he comes back before the season is through). Thompson is a solid penalty killer and a quality character player in the room."

from the spector...
LeBrun still links the Boston Bruins with Ottawa’s Daniel Alfredsson and Calgary’s Jarome Iginla, depending upon the asking price for the latter. They’re also believed interested in Dallas Stars captain Brenden Morrow, while the Stars remain undecided over what to do with Jaromir Jagr. Derek Roy could be moved as his contract talks apparently haven’t gone anywhere

Do we want to give up a first, a prospect and a pick for Iggy? I think PC sticks with the Nate Thompsons of the world.

For Jagr it depends on the asking price, same with Iginla. I am not sure it is worth giving up a lot or high level prospects for either of those 2.
Brendan Morrow might be worth the trade and picking up a Thompson and/or Murray would be good.

We have Khoko as well, he is a valuable asset. true. he might be the one to go. subban is too valuable to trade for a rental. but, i think the bruins would be wise to hold on to those players. unless you got morrow and signed him up for some time.

We have Khoko as well, he is a valuable asset. Is he signed. His season is over in Windsor so maybe he could be brought in for a look. He tore up the OHL this year when he came over.
