Per Kevin Weekes, the Bruins had a deal done for Ullmark, but Linus invoked his no-trade clause based on "geography". That might be the New Jersey deal that fell flat 🤷♂️

Looks like we are stuck with JDB and Gryz for the rest of the year. I say for the better..Now Debrusk can be used as a rental..If we gave him up for nothing, we're then short of a 1st or 2nd line player..Jake is streaky as hell but he might get hot postseason, who knows..To give him up for no return makes no sense, just as well to let him walk this summer.. Put it this way, regardless how any of us feel about Debrusk, how would we feel if he got injured and missed postseason?? And he do have 14 goals 17 assists so far so he still should finish season with around 20 goals 25 assists, not bad for an off season and his +/- is 5th best on Bruins..5 pts his past 5 games and like Heinen, he's been a little snakebitten too.. I would rather have Jake in lineup than traded for nothing, we're better with him than we are without him..

I was in the trade Jake camp but looking at the returns today I agree 100%, better to keep him as a rental and who knows maybe we can re-up him if he doesn’t get a lot of offers in early July.

What if he signed a contract similar to Zacha's IF he finishes season on a good note??

You could be right but he said on a few occasions that he wants to resign with the only teams he's ever known..Take it for whats its worth but I'm sure if he leaves Boston, it'll be EDM or Cal...4 points his past 5 games, if he can have a strong finish his numbers will still be down but could hit 20 goals 25 assists..Plus he added PK to his game to improve his overall game both ends of the ice..That MAY of costed him somewhat offensively I dunno..I just know I love when he play at his best, he's a smart player and thats the Jake I like, not so much the disinterested, half asleep lazy version..

I’d be happy if he came up with some big goals in the playoffs.
