Gotta love Toronto radio....they already have PC out the door and the Bruins bidding for Mcdavid in the draft next year. and krecji and Bergeron are old and Looch is a has been. All this because Chara is hurt and Boychuck gone to the Islanders.....ok so they may not be to far off the mark on some of what they are saying but they way they are talking we are no longer any good. Oh and the Sequin Trade was a complete bust, And Rask is no longer a contender for the Vezina in the sprig cause Svedburg played last night.
Come on Boys show em who's still got it.....afterall Chara is only one guy on the roster and our defense is still better then that overpriced pylon they have call Captain.
Go Boston GO~!~!~!~!

Chara gone for 4 to 6 weeks , if surgery required 3 to 4 months .. You see teams adapt after losing there best player , The Bruins D had issues before losing Z gonna be interesting to see who steps up ..

You have to feel just a little bad for Ontario Bruins fans who paid a lot to see Boston play in Toronto. And now, no Chara. With the way Boston has been hot and cold, the chances are they are spending tons just to sit and watch a loss surrounded by 19,000 Maple Leaf asshats.

You sound surprised. The Toronto media are nothing but Asshats, they win 4 in a row and the cup parade is mapped out by them. The Seguin trade is not a bust....rather I still think that Seguin was a bust in Boston. He never would have reached his potential in Beantown as he is a center and not a winger. We all know that this is a transition year. I am still fine with the Boychuk trade as there is no way PC and Neely could predict the future to see that Miller and Chara would get hurt. Boychuk will get 5.5 million plus on a new deal next summer, the Bruins can not afford that going forward so 3 draft picks to use or trade is good value for him. Play the kids and develop them, this is the perfect time to do so. Now go and beat the Loafs just to piss off the asshat media there.

The Bitter Man posted that the Bruins would lose a D man to injury or IR before Christmas. Halloween would have been more accurate, but you get the picture.
This is not to say TBM can see the future and Peter Chiarelli cannot - however. The old saying goes that 'you can never have enough capable defencemen in Boston.' Plus it's the position the Bruins are thinnest at, despite the Krugs, Barts and others who battle for scraps of spare minutes or sample press box popcorn on a regular basis.
Yes, Boychuk went packing because of cap problems, a cap that is managed by PC. Early still, but away from Chara's shadow, JB seems to be moving in a direction closer to his offensive potential.
As for Chara, hopefully surgey won't be needed. He's neither fast nor quick to start with, and is odometer is spinning. He wasn't playing lights out so far anyway. The bright side says Chara will come back rested for the playoffs. The dark side says Chara and his Bruins will be a bubble team or golfing early come spring.

The Toronto hockey media and MTL hockey media have a lot in common. Trait one they share is they are deluded and insane, trait two is they are glorified cheerleaders with a public forum they don't deserve. But the Toronto media don't hate the Bruins nearly as much as MTL does, probably because of the TOR - MTL rivalry. MTL media carry a hatret of the Bruins nornally reserved for a woman scorned.

Good call, I think we play out of our minds tomorrow night just show everybody that the Bruins aren't going to roll over. Bergeron will have his team ready to go.

Does anybody think Bergy will be wearing the 'C' tomorrow night? Gut reaction yes, no brainier love to see Patrice Bergeron with the C on his jersey. We'll see though.

"C" for Bergeron would be TBM's vote too. Tells the team that if they are thinking of coasting - think again. And it might just shake up the few players who were already on cruise control.
It's no slight to Chara, but this team needs to make a statement that they won't be fucking around. Continuity of leadership is important. If those asshats in MTL want to have five assistants, (because they don't really have anyone with true captain potential) that's their business.

I say they go with 3 A's as well only because I can't see Bergy wanting to "TAKE" over for Chara.

This team still should be good enough to take the Leafs. These are the games they have to take points while Chara is out. If they wanna keep their heads above water they need to scratch out every point possible.

Dawn of a new era, sort of. They have played well and won without him in the past, like to know what that stat is. Might need some vintage Tuukka tonight. Looch's physical role taking on more responsibility. Give Bergy the C, just do it.

I'm hoping the puck is in the Leafs end most of the night, I don't really trust our young D yet and we need this win tonight. We just don't want to be losing the first game without Z, could be like putting a needle in a balloon and starting a downward spiral.
Go Bruins!!

If there is a positive to Chara being out...they have to do something new with the PP. First try gets a bounce.
