Real cool with the anthems tonight. So far so good, they play more spread out. They look good, Griffith is real slick.

Nothing stops a Bruins skid like a game against the Leafs.

Great game from Dougie on both ends, him and Seids looked like they logged a lot of ice time.

Does anybody think Bergy will be wearing the 'C' tomorrow night? I see they went the three 'A' route.

I just got back from remortgaging my house to get our tickets. Looking forward to see the faces on the Leaf nation faithful when the B's win 5-1. (doesn't hurt to hope, does it?) Lots of Bruins jerseys at the ACC tonight, they played a very solid game. Krejci goal was a beauty, Bart handles the puck like a live grenade, scary to watch.

I never seen game last night. How was Trotman and how did the defence play?? Thanks in advance! Just my take but our 4 lines played really well. Good forecheck all night and plenty of energy on both sides of the puck. The D was good, Dougie was great at both ends and really stepped up. Probably his best game as a Bruin. I thought Trotman was okay, Bart was an accident waiting to happen as usual. Overall we played good but it was the Leafs, they looked disinterested for about 50 mins and they put some pressure on us in the last 10 minutes of the game. I'd be okay with letting Bart sit and see what Morrow has to bring. McQuaid played the entire game but once again he put himself in a position to get hurt and took a big hit so he could be banged up.

i will stick my neck out there....the chara injury could be the thing to get this team rolling. and it could shed light on their future.
if they are successful (and that is an if) i would look to moving the big man to a contender out west and see what the return would be.

I liked at the end of the game the CBC camera panned down by the Leaf bench and a Leaf fan (row or two up)had both arms raised with a double FU salute going to the Leaf players or organization.

To their credit, the Bruins as a team put a choke hold on the Leafs and didn't let up. We've seen Boston do this before, but only to let up on the other team halfway through and let them back in the game. Not this time, and everyone stepped up to fill the Chara void. This was a good way to begin life without 33. Only Toronto, but a good start.
And are the Leafs ever getting crapped on by their fickle media.

Leaf fans need to dial it back and manage their expectations. They packed Make Belief Square on opening night vs MTL, and their execs in the private box jumped up on every goal like it was Game 7, Round 4. Leafs lost that game. As for their current funk, they look much like they did towards the end of last season when they couldn't win a game of checkers vs a house cat. Didn't they just lock Carlyle up for a couple years?

Glad they got the 2 points but I'll have to wait and see them play a better team before I judge how well they are playing. The Bs got little resistance from the Leafs on Saturday. Look at Phaneuf on goals 2 and 3. God he was just out to lunch. Same goes for Gardiner on Dougies goal. He is a really good skater but he has a very low Hockey IQ and he isn't capable of winning a puck battle to save his life.

I will enjoy that win, however, unlike a Loaf fan I will not be planning the cup parade route though. I take it game by game with this team.
