On paper it should be easy, in reality they're lucky to come out with a point: Well Eddy, the game in Buffalo they were damn lucky to get the win, even a point. So if there home/road record is any indication, you bet the Bruins will be lucky to get a point tonight. I really wish Julien would try something different, like calling up Griffith and Koko and putting them in a position where they can succeed. Every time they called up Koko, his minutes were limited and put on 4th line. I'd like to see him with Spooner for a few games. I'd be happy to get a decent look at those 2 and sit a couple players who's doing squat..

I just checked the remaining 12 games for this month. Counting tonight and based on how this team is playing right now I have us going 5-7. I think that drops us out of the playoffs. When Sweeney and Julian had their meeting and Sweeney decided to not fire Julian I thought we were supposed to see a new up tempo strategy. We are over halfway through the season our approach seems to be exactly the same and we don't have the D to be successful. I'm thinking maybe Julien will be the next French Canadian coach for the Habs next season

Healthy as they're going to be, time to reward the faithful with a big effort and start building some momentum at home.

Its one thing to say you are going to be up temp but you have to have the horses to play up tempo. the Bs are not graced with an abundance of team speed. They have a few guys like Pasta, March, Spoons but the Bs don't have 1 line that they throw out that has 3 fast guys. Closest thing is Bergies line. The fact that they are 4th in Goals scored has to be a credit to the coach somewhat. I agree with you that the style looks like last year but the results have been better offensively.

Plus, Bruins have more road games left than home games. I say they go 6-4-2 IF they continue to play top teams well..

But Kjc, you're right when you base it on how they're playing now and because of that, you may be right on..Tell you what, Between us or anyone, lets keep track just for curiousity. It might very well tell how the rest of the season will go. 16-5 on the road with a 6 game road trip after tonight..Gonna get interesting,

These teams are harder to play than a contender ..Players playing for lives , jobs , etc .. True there..Thats why I suck at our local school hockey pool where you predict winners of games fri-sun..Who's supposed to win only wins about 60% of the time..Sure even Montreal won today..Who would have predicted that??? ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

Bruins won this and the Refs once again were terrible .. I agree, the refs were horrible all night for both sides. The Sabres have a lot of good pieces, they're not an easy two points by any means. Rask was great, the players in front of him were okay, let's keep it rolling.

I love how his individual effort makes a difference. As Jack would say. He gets a bee in his bonnet and he's off to the races.

Marshmont is good but we need to get Connolly going I hope Connolly sticks with that line, I don't think he'll ever be great but if he gets his confidence I think we see a much better player.
