I would be hard pressed to think of a Bruins team in recent memory that, at times, makes things so difficult on themselves and so easy on opposing goalies and teams...the Dave Lewis era maybe. Un-fucking-real.

Hayes x 2 equals a time out next game I will be glad when the Hayes experiment is over with ,he brings very little to the team Didn't mind the trade to get him here but his extension leaves a bit to be desired.

I was hoping for a quick lucky goal here in the third but the Preds have been in command of this game since the start. It's not all Preds, part of it has been about the Bruins crap play.

Yup, a gift PP and 6 on 4 and they still can't amount to jack shit. No excuses chased the game all night They looked downright awful. Well, I guess a 3-3 record is pretty much a foregone conclusion on this road trip. The only question that remains is how badly do the Stars embarrass them Saturday? Or, more to the point, how badly do they ALLOW the Stars to embarrass them? Another half ass effort like tonight and it could get well out of hand and quickly.

Right on there Eddy..Hayes has a cap hit of 2.3 million for this season and the next two..Gonna be really tough to move him and it'll look bad on his trade value when teams know he was a healthy scratch a couple games.

Bruins on pace for 98 points before this game.. 96 now. And expect 94 after the Dallas game. Stats for the game tonight makes it look like Bruins were the better team outshooting and outhitting Nashville but watching the game told another story. We have 2 good lines and an inconsistent 3rd line. Plus out D sucks.

Stopped watching after the first thank God. Too many no shows on this team right now. Curious what DS has up his sleeve for the deadline.

We have 2 good lines and an inconsistent 3rd line. Plus out D sucks. And that's the problem. When they were a top team they had 4 solid lines. 2 won't cut it in this league.

Stopped watching after the first thank God. Too many no shows on this team right now. Curious what DS has up his sleeve for the deadline. He's going to trade David Pastrnak for a middle of the road, 33 year old defenseman and then sign him to a multi year extension. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) In all honesty, I hope it's something geared towards a rebuild/retool. While the team has outperformed most people's low expectations, they're not a competitive team against any team that will make the playoffs. If the goal is a couple of playoff dates to sell some hotdogs, the Bruins are fine. If it's to actually build a winning team, the entire roster needs an enema.

I agree with Eddy, however, as long as the Jacobs own the team they are not going to allow the team to miss the playoffs this year if they can actually get in. The Jacobs clan want the playoff dates and the extra revenue it generates. Most folks with any hockey knowledge know that this team is going now where with the current core. The right thing to do is move some of the vets and play the kids a lot more.
There is some seriously good prospects in the organization but most are not ready to play yet. Some may never get there but I do believe that they have actually acquired some talent that will.
I would rather watch Morrow and C Miller play and make rookie mistakes then to see a fading Chara and Seidenberg. Those 2 belong on contenders now and would really help them out. The B's need to focus on building for the future so I would trade all players that are going to be UFA's to start with.

I never thought I would say this but I feel bad for Spooner. As we saw late last year he blossomed when he had a speedy Pastrnak with him. Last night he had Loui on one wing and Jimmy Hayes on the other. I don't mind Loui cause I think he helps Spooner defensively but Hayes doesn't bring much to help Spooners game. I think Hayes would be better with Krejci as he likes to slow the play down and he also carries the puck deeper into the zone. Hayes could be the big body coming late crashing the crease. Maybe Krejci could bounce a few in off his head. Spooner has been ok to get the puck up the ice but he tends to dish it off to the wingers at the blue line. With Patrnak they could attack that way because the speed would back the D off. Hayes is not beating anyone to the outside with his speed so the D can stay up on them.
