Better because they are veterans and not as prone to the mistakes of a young player. That's part of it, and on the D side Liles is just many steps above the kids in terms of talent right now - even as a Leaf retread. He won't solidify the d but he should stabilize it. Many steps above McQaid and Miller talent wise, many steps ahead of Morrow experience wise, many steps ahead of Chara and Seidenberg speed wise and Krug is kind of close.

I'm back home after the game. I'll start off with how incredible the city of Boston is and anybody that lives there should eat at the Italian Express Pizzeria. I'm hoping to get back once a year to catch a game.
Now to the game. I thought they played well, the third period was all about protecting the lead. Liles has made a big improvement to the D core. He's a steady presence that also has some offensive upside.
