The college hockey season starts this weekend. Scrimmages last weekend...looks like UVM will suck again.

Headed to their game tonight to see them play BU. Hopefully McAvoy and JFK will be there so I can check them out. Chance they may already be at World Juniors training camps. BU is loaded with top draft picks. 4 from last years first round alone.

BU is loaded with top draft picks. 4 from last years first round alone Wow, got to give UVM credit. BU has a ton more talent but UVM beat them 4-2 on Friday. One of the best games I have ever seen them play. BU did win 4-0 on Saturday though even though UVM out shot them. BU's power play was Clayton Keller(7th pick), Keifer Bellows(19th pick), JFK(45th pick in 2015), McAvoy(14th pick) and Dante Fabbro(17th pick). Talk about stacked! McAvoy is a lot bigger than I thought. He is 6'1" and plays with a mean streak. Not afraid to mix it up at all. He jumped into the play a lot and had a couple of good scoring chances, but because he is a Bruin he missed or got robbed. He play on the 1st PP unit and 1st PK unit. Was out there the most of any dman for sure. JFK is a big by too. He was the starting center, played on the 1st PP and the 1st PK as well. I guess what impressed me the most is that he is a sophomore from Sweden and was one of the alternate captains. Sounds like a leader to me.

So BU wins in double OT. McAvoy with the winner! BU did not have a shot in the first OT and were outshot 60-25.
