Avalanche are 28th in goals for Average and 26th in goals against. Bruins had a very tough game tonight and have to travel back home. Pretty sure Dolby will man the pipes. Hopefully Bruins will keep their points streak alive {4-0-2}. Mcquaid got banged up a couple times tonight. Maybe a good idea to give him a break and put a rested Morrow for a game. I doubt it'll happen but good time to rest at least one of your defencemen.

Well...first chunk of the season, it appeared that we had gotten the defense and the goals against under control, but couldn't score to save our lives. Now we're back to making dumbfuck passes and napping on defensive coverage, but hey, we're scoring again. This team is about as frustrating to watch as I can remember.

Oh...forgot to add, back to getting boned regularly by the refs as well. There were 3 blatant missed calls on the Avs right before the last COL PP.

About 11 minutes away from dropping one to the worst team in the league...good times.

Beyond sad. This spotting teams 3 fucking goals in the first period, or so before they decide to wake the fuck up and start skating is already getting old.

So proud as I was for the way the Bruins played last 2 periods last night, I feel just the opposite tonight. Brodeur in net again tonight, made 31 saves and the Bruins desperately need a back up. Yes the Bruins made a mess of stupid mistakes but Dolby was terrible again. Just a pitiful showing by every Bruin not named Pastrnak, the nhl's leading scorer. As much as you hear the names Matthews, Mcdavid, Price, etc, If Pasta played for a Canadian team, He'd be compared to Gretzky and Crosby. But I actually like him being under the radar, I don't give a crap what the Canadian media thinks anyway, after listening to them and their hypocrisy crap for 40 years.
Is it time yet for Julien to at least try to mix the lines up a little? Really too bad there's no room on the 1st PP unit for Pastrnak..Just try something different to attempt to get some players out of their season long slumps. Try Backes and Spooner back to their natural positions. Backes has been around a long time and didn't he play center all his career. Its tough enough going to a new team after years in one city. But also have to play a different position? He's only one player, but I'm surprised Bruins have as many points as they do with so many top players having career low seasons..
Ok folks, I feel a little better now. Bring on the Leafs and Habs. They will lose to Leafs and surprisingly beat the Habs in a convincing fashion. Lol, yep I'm feeling better..

I haven't looked at team stats in awhile, but man, do some of these clowns need to get their shit together. Moore, as much as I like him is 3RD in goal scoring on this team...centering the 4th line. And we're 28 games in, pretty pathetic. Our GF/GA differential is 2 goals, so if it weren't for Tuukka's outstanding play, Clode getting us back to where we had been defensively (until this recent stretch) and 3 Players - Pasta/Marchand/Bergeron - scoring the majority of the GWGs, we'd be in the fucking basement of the league.

They really need to start the game thinking they are down 3 goals.... They can be dominate at times but Koby couldn't stop a beach ball last night. And to Newf the thing about pasta flying under the radar is a good thing but the only place he's getting any love is in the Boston media. And that's ok. I like that he's our secret weapon.

Here's another couple of gems. They should be especially proud, collectively, of the 2nd item. I wonder if they are over .500 against ANY team in the league over the past few seasons at home. The last two games have produced some ugly numbers for a few players. Brandon Carlo is minus-4 in the two contests while David Krejci and David Backes are both minus-5. …
With the setback, the Bruins have now lost 11 straight to Colorado at the Garden, dating back to March 30, 1998.

Missed last nights game, not that upset about it. I started to type this after the Washington loss but I changed my mind and went to bed. To nfld's point, our top two scorers are Marchand and Pasta and they get 2nd PP scrap minutes. I understand last year our 1st pp unit was very successful mostly in the first half of the season but dropped off in the second half. We essentially have the same 1st PP unit this year with Backes replacing Louie. Teams scout opposing PP's, the fucking book is out on our 1st unit, it's not effective any more. This fact was evident last year yet Julien is still living in the past. Marchand/Pasta need to be the focal point of our first unit, we need to throw something new at other teams and reward our top two guys.
Don't get me started on our 5 on 5 combinations. An overloaded first line and nothing else and Bergeron being wasted for the first 25 games. When I say waste it just means not fitting with the other two. Why does he take so long to make changes when we are underachieving. You could say we are where we should be in the standings but we are getting crazy good performances that I didn't expect from Rask, Pastrnak and our young kid Carlo.(Carlo looks like he could be wearing down a bit). Anyway, Bergeron, Backes, Krejci, Krug are all under performing (25 million ish) and that's not acceptable. The lines have needed shaking up for more than a month.
I know people are tired of me throwing line combos out there but here I go again.
Marchand/Bergeron/Czarnik/Frankie V BeleskeyKrejci/Pastrnak Spooner/Backes/Nash Schaller/Moore/Hayes/Acciari
First PP Marchand/Backes/Pasta Krug C.Miller
Second PP Spooner/Begeron/Krejci Morrow/Liles/Carlo
