ca.sports.yahoo.com/bruins-without-mcavoy-against-devils-051630235--nhl.htmlMcAvoy, who first had an irregular heartbeat after a game in November, will miss his first game of the season when the sizzling Bruins host the struggling New Jersey Devils in the first of two games leading up to the All-Star break. He underwent an ablation at Massachusetts General Hospital and the expected recovery time is two weeks.

www.masslive.com/bruins/index.ssf/2018/02/boston_bruins_injuries_patrice_bergeron_spotted_in_walking_boot_following_loss_to_toronto_maple_leaf.html{This isnt associated with above} From Joe McDonald on BSJ: Not only did the Bruins drop a 4-3 decision to the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday night at Air Canada Centre, Boston alternate captain Patrice Bergeron was seen leaving the arena with a walking boot on his right. There was no update on his condition, but he didn’t appear to be in too much discomfort. Not sure when he suffered the injury, but he was hit in the right leg by a clearing puck near the benches in the first period and was clearly shaken up a bit as he made his way off the ice. He never missed a shift and logged 19:15 of ice. steve conroy @conroyherald Must amend earlier tweet. Believe it was the first period he took the puck off the foot. Led all Bruin forwards in ice time with 19:15 so let's not jump to dire conclusions just yet

Hopefully just a bad bruise and sits tomorrow for precautionary measures. He never missed a shift, played more minutes than any other forward AND every Bruin will need to sit some games because of the screwed up schedule..

heard Bergy missed the Carolina game, is there a forecast on how long he is out for? I would think 3 to 4 weeks. Hopefully sooner but would rather not he hurry back. He's gonna need that foot for the playoffs. My favorite pic from Sundays game.

Bruins medical staff are going to do an evaluation after 2 weeks. But I agree with Offwego, cannot rush him back and chance on losing him for playoff run cause he's such an important piece..Next to Rask without a doubt..

Not much but here's a little news on Bergy.. Dated March 10th
Bruins' Patrice Bergeron: Remains off ice due to foot injury by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com (3/10/18) Bergeron (foot) has yet to skate after fracturing his right foot Feb. 24 against the Maple Leafs, Bill Doyle of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette reports. Doyle also relayed from Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy that Bergeron is expected to miss the entire four-game road trip that wraps up March 17 in Tampa Bay. Surprisingly, the celebrated two-way pivot is not yet listed on injured reserve, but it seems like only a matter of time before that happens.

I have been so upset as you know not goes on in my life but hockey. And to have it end has been really hard for me. The last year before Mark died he was really getting into it and he could understand why i loved it so much. But these guys played so awesome this year and I think their hearts where In it for the long haul only the bodies gave out on them. I wouldn't be surprised if even Krejci was still feeling his hip issues from last year. The core of this team not getting any younger. Even Macavoy had lingering issues from his knee. He was still wearing a brace. That's alot of talent with banged up body parts. Hockey is a violent sport we all know that so maybe we should cut some of these bums some slack. The ones not seriously injured played hard but nothing went their way and the atrocious officiating.... Don't get me started on that one. I'm having anger issues and my phone may not survive...lol I'm a hockey fan and I love my Bruins. Regardless of the name on the back of the jersey. Peace Bruins family

I'm not sure about these concussions listed here. Why in the fuck are they being allowed to play with concussions anymore? Isn't the League already in enough trouble and the players should know better.

I would argue there were probably a few more Players playing with head injuries that weren’t announced you would think they would know better by now..

Concussion symptoms can also be from just being sick. I'm assuming Bergy had a headache and maybe nausea. Those are both concussion symptoms, or the flu or, if you're like me, a weather change. Diagnosing concussions isn't an exact science, until it is there will always be players playing through them thinking it's nothing. That being said, I'm surprised the NHL hasn't made a hard stance, if you are showing any symptoms, you're out.

Till Head injuries are taken seriously the fall out in coming years is gonna be ugly..Once the Players lawsuit is settled maybe then the NHL will take it more serious ..
