Leaf fans trying to boast about their team is sort of like a poor hick winning millions of dollars in the lottery.
They just aren't used to success, and it shows in their bizarre reactions / comments.

They just aren't used to success, and it shows in their bizarre reactions / comments. I suppose fans are calling TSN Radio Toronto and planning the parade again. Not to mention Scrivens being worshipped as the second coming of Christ and the Leafs "future goaltender" after a couple shutouts.

They're on a bit of a roll no doubt. But Leaf fans who say they've "turned a corner" or are ready to join the elite contenders in the East are a bit premature.
See Colton Orr go right after George Parros (the guy who gave Orr a concussion a couple years back).

See Colton Orr go right after George Parros (the guy who gave Orr a concussion a couple years back). A few weeks ago they had "turned the corner" with Reimer in net. Then he sieved out and they were right back where they were. Now Scrivens comes in because of a Reimer injury and all of the sudden they have "turned the corner" again. Wait until they play a few quality opponents and see what happens. I can't wait to get them back in our barn and beat the living piss out of them. The Leafs are not elite. Not even fucking close.

Plenty of Leaf and Hab bragging going on around here. But it was funny to see Hab after Hab get carted off vs. Flyers the other night.
As for Colton Orr going after the guy who put him out (Parros) - maybe there is a lesson in that for Boston. I'm not talking specifically about Thornton and Scott - just a general team toughness message because I'm not sensing urgency with the team lately. And they don't seem upset about the fact they are bing outhit or their goalie is being bumped.

It worries me a lot because we are able to get away with the odd slump here or there but it is a little different in a shortened season. Throw in the fact that the Leafs and Habs are both hanging around the top of the division and this is a real recipe for disaster. Division games are going to be huge!

Funk, slump, whatever. They can't get up for games vs hated rivals and can't get up for the dull sad sack teams either. You can look to this whatever you want to call it when Boston has a one-and-done playoffs.

Parros pretty near ended Colton's career a few year ago , Still think things will end bad for Colton unless He practices a little more Defence .

Colton swings for the fences, and by doing so opens himself up to some shots too.

freakin habs winning 5 straight makes me sad. Absolutely brutal. Luckily the Leafs got brought back down to Earth last night by Tampa. The Habs aren't that good of a hockey team. They were tied 0-0 with Carolina the other night in the third period and then got a bunch of bullshit goals and ended up winning 3-0. Nothing seems to be going wrong for them. It just pisses me off to see them string together wins and hang right with us at the top of the division.

:-*Pens vs Flyers gotta love watching these two beat the shit out of each other .. 6-5 final for the Flyers It is like the goaltending becomes non-existent when these two teams have played each other in last little while. Their playoff series last year was a gongshow. Both goalies with GAA up around 5...

John "big goof" Scott didn't exactly look like Superman last night vs. Maclearn in Tor. I wonder if Scott's legion of fans over on Montreal Canadiens HF are in mourning today?
