Which would be unfortunate, I think. I like Clark, really brings a lot of character to the room after Recchi's departure. I don't have a good feeling about Pouliot over the long term.

Gonna give Pouliot a chance here. Big,young, skilled and cheap. A strong play last Isles game to muscle the puck and find Seguin, who was mentioned in an article as a legit 50 goal potential guy. Throw Kelly in there and you have a pretty balanced line.Remember it took Horton the better part of a 1/2 a season to not look lost out there in the system. Peverly's the guy I have some reservations about. Good skills, but seems like a "me" guy. Hope I'm wrong. They should be all fired up and ready to go when they get back from their Foxwood bonding experience.

TSN is reporting that Anton Khudobin has been placed on waivers to be assigned to the AHL. What's the odds he clears?

Julien believes that he has two "number 1" goalies.

Per source close to situation, Bruins will not sign Chris Clark is he really needed? In my opinion, no he isn't needed.

I understand they wanted a Veteran pressence in the locker room with the loss of Rex, but, this team is full of great vets. In my opinion, once you win the cup you tend to know what it takes to get there and the new comers this year will have plenty of vets to talk to and keep them grounded. Lets not forget, Thorton and the likes of Ference will act as that Veteran leadership along with others.

I agree. I would rather see Caron get the spot. that what i was thinking as well Clark was simply insurance in case the kids (really just Pouliot and Caron) didn't look ready and/or Marchand didn't sign. But all 3 look like they'r ready to take their place on the team so he gets left out. Tough break for Clark (his nose and not making the team).

Per source close to situation, Bruins will not sign Chris Clark I'm happy with the news. Caron is bigger, younger and had a much better camp IMHO. I think it sends the wrong message to the youth if the Bruins managment had opted to go with Clark. Also I think Sauve is a very viable call up if needed. To answer NFLD's question, we have 13 forwards and I think any one of Caron, Pouliot and even Paille could spend time in the press box as the 13th forward.

Seguin's strong play at center in preseason probably factored into the decision as well. Not to mention Zack Hamill's always just a phone call away.

B's Recall Hamill on Emergency Basis: Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has recalled forward Zach Hamill from the Providence Bruins on an emergency basis (American Hockey League). He will join the Boston Bruins for their morning skate on Thursday, November 10 at the TD Garden and be available for Thursday night’s game against Edmonton. Through 14 AHL games this season, Hamill leads the P-Bruins in goals (5), points (10) and plus/minus (+2) and is second on the team in assists (5). Last season, Hamill spent the majority of the year in Providence and finished second on the team in scoring with 9-34=43 totals. He was recalled once to Boston from February 3 – 13, 2011 and tallied one assist in three NHL games. Hamill has skated in four career NHL games with 0-2=2 totals. He made his NHL debut on April 11, 2010 against Washington and recorded his first career NHL assist/point in that game. bruins.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=599883

If you want a quick update on the Bruins top prospects click Kirk Luedeke's Twitter link in the resource table above. He gave a quick tweet on each. Keep scrolling down, they're kinda in a reverse order.

I don't understand how they can keep recalling him (Hamil) on an emergency basis. Is it just to circumvent waivers and how do they justify it?

Caron assigned to Providence. Probably a good thing. He's not going to get better by not playing.
