"Bruins have recalled D-man Andrew Bodnarchuk from Providence."
Apparently Kampfer won't be getting the call back right now. Probably a good thing for him to play a few.

Excellent, give the kid a look. Or does somebody else want a look. Labeled as a PMD with a hard shot who gets his nose dirty and plays bigger than his size. Alot of things that Kampfer isn't. Has over 250 games under his belt in Providence. One of their leaders in the locker room.

Agreed. The cupboard is getting pretty bare. Surprised they didnt rip Cross out of the Beanpot tonight and ask him to play. he's been in college so long I think he changed his name to Van wilder seriously that kid has been a bruins prospect for forever and 1 day how old is he now? 30? I think I heard that he is going to go to Pbruins when his college season ends. Could end up being Dougie's partner for the next 10ys stranger things have happened right? they could be the next Bourque / Wesley duo.. who knows ;D

Anyone heard or know anything about the rumor that Boychuk is on the verge of signing for 3 more years?

How is Cross looking, anybody get a chance to watch him?? A pretty accomplished college career. Captain of Boson College, battled back from some pretty serious injuries, gets around pretty good for a big guy. Plays in the Beanpot final against BU in about 10 minutes on NESN.

Boychuck has been signed to a 3 year extension Johnny Boychuk has signed a three-year, $10.08 million extension. TSN first reported the transaction. Boychuk will carry an average annual cap hit of $3.36 million. Boychuk would have been an unrestricted free agent at year's end. The 28-year-old Boychuk has filled a valuable role as the Bruins' No. 3 defenseman. Boychuk has been Zdeno Chara's primary partner on the first pairing. Through 52 games, Boychuk has scored three goals and seven assists while averaging 20:30 of ice time per appearance. The Bruins originally acquired Boychuk from Colorado for Matt Hendricks. www.boston.com

He's got pictures of something, don't know what it is but he's got pictures. The slowest and worst skater on the team gets a 30% raise for three more years. He makes more than Seidenberg. ....wait maybe a sign and trade?

When we talk of trades PC has made, Boychuk for Henricks very rarely comes up. One helluva good deal and it rules out the Versteeg deal!

Really amazing. Think it was Hags on CSN who said that's what #2 Dmen get n this league. He would get more in the open market. Earth to Hags, he can't play with anyone else and not get torched.

more than Ference, Seidenberg, and twice McQuaid. That's a lot for 3-7-10 this season (5th in pts among Bruins Dmen)

No-trade goes away in final yr I do not like this deal

so what do we think about horton?
is he done now?
two pieces of crap hockey players take very late runs at him and end his career......
and the league did almost nothing for the two guys.
what.....3 games between the two of them....
bullshit.

Well, it doesn't look good. When you think about his comments earlier in the season about not being himself, this is not going to help. Not many people end up with Bergy's health after a pretty severe concussion so you just cross your fingers and hope for the best.

Never thought he overcame the first one when he came back. More perimeter oriented. Probably back for playoffs? who knows.

Never thought he overcame the first one when he came back. More perimeter oriented. Probably back for playoffs? who knows. Horton pulled a Marc Savard and came back many months too early with a mushy melon which just put himself in danger. Remember, Bergeron essentially missed a whole year and even when he came back, took it relatively easy for a year before returning to the Bergeron of old. PC seems to think Horton will be back this season. I think that's wishful thinking more than anything.
