Caron assigned to Providence. Probably a good thing. He's not going to get better by not playing. And who'd have thought that he'd be sent down in favor of Hamill - of all people? Not I. ;D Watch what happens to Hamil now when he becomes the 13th forward and sees very few games. I hope he can keep his confidence, stay sharp and be ready to go, something that Caron struggled with I think.

Bruins Assign Jordan Caron to Providence.
So what was that all about? Recall him for a practice and give him a day of NHL pay?

Wanna see this kid play again soon. After tonight and starting Saturday against the Canes they have 3 in 4 nights and 8 in 13 nights. Maybe they look not to tax Peverley, who might be a step slower, too much in this stretch.

The human yo-yo Jordan Caron has been recalled. Probably glad he got called up. Gets to go south where it is warm and sunny....better than Providence!

I'm not disappointed, he had his chance here. Maybe he is good enough to be a fit somewhere else at least I hope so.

Placed on waivers sounds worse than sent back down but basically the same thing in this case. First Colborne now Hamill sure hope Caron pans out for PC's sake. Interesting to see how he responds if he passes through.

Hamill has a 1.3 million cap hit. Ya, but a half million of that is bonus money that I'm sure he won't earn.

In fairness to the Bs Hamil lead the W in scoring in his draft year while playing for a not so offensive minded coach in Kevin Constantine. There were a few GMs in that year that would like a redo. Wasn't Thomas Hickey picked in the top 5. Is he still with the Kings organization? You could argue that picks 3-6 of that draft have not lived up to expectations 3. Turris - was in and out of the lineup in Phoenix but getting a regular shift in Ott. He has his moments but I'd say the jury is still out. 4. Hickey - Where is he? 5. Alzner - Playing for the Caps not sure if he is playing well. Didn't notice him in the Bs game on Sunday but for a dman that can be a good thing 6. Gagner - before his 8 point outburst he was rumored on the way out and still might be.
If teams could have a do-over it might be: 1. Kane 2. Couture 3. Van Reimsdyck

Alzner's not bad - not great but good enough that he ended up not being a wasted pick. Gagner's in the same boat. He'll never be a superstar and probably never a star either but he'll be a solid contributor.
I think the problem everyone has with Hamill is that everyone in the Bs organization knew he was talented, but knew he came with some serious issues, which they thought would be easily solvable (which they haven't been). At least Chia didn't pick Esposito.

The Bs thought they could medicate it. They were wrong. He's cleared waivers.

Bruins assign Kampfer to Providence.
I'm assuming he's going to play one or two then come back up.
