I hope he’s all that but if he was playing that way in Columbus they most likely weren’t trading him. They have Lorei and Wortherspoon on the left so there is no room for Forbort but there was a need on the right side. I think you guys misread my post. No where do I claim this guy is a stud. What I said was He's younger and skates better than Forbort Look when you have no cap space and no draft picks or any prospects to offer then you get an Andrew Peeke. The reason why the Jackets unloaded him was they gave him a good contract then brought in Provorov and Severson who are both stud RD and make a lot money..oh and they play a lot too.. so it's cap dump and it seemed like the perfect trade for both teams.. just happen to have the same cap hit as you guessed it Forbort..
Good points, I didn’t think you over hyped on Peeke. I had him pegged for Shattenkirks spot but I had issue with the trade. Considering Columbus no longer had a spot for him I would have thought Zboril would have been enough or even a fifth or sixth not a third. After all it was a salary dump by them and I heard talk he was being bought out over the summer. Either way he’s playing tonight and I get to see him play and I wish him the best.

The #NHLBruins have signed goaltender Michael DiPietro to a one-year, two-way contract extension. Although the press seems to have anointed Brandon Bussi as the heir apparent should Ullmark get dealt, don't discount the possibility of DiPietro stepping up and grabbing the brass ring. Both DiPietro and Bussi had great seasons. With those 2, Reid Dyck, the newly signed Ryan Bischel the B's certainly seem to have very good depth at G.

I met a guy in Scottsdale about a year ago at an event who let slip that he had been in ownership of the Islanders (at least part). I asked him about Wang and he just rolled his eyes.. lol

And he is still getting paid.
As a result of his contract buyout, the Islanders will continue to pay DiPietro $1.5 million annually until the end of the 2028–29 season.

Should the Bruins use Load management with the Older Players down the stretch? Brad Marchand tops my list. Age is catching up, he could use a rest and they shouldn’t ask, just tell him. Edit: I answered without seeing your answer first. Marchand is a heart and soul player that means everything to a playoff run but he has to be made to sit because no way he does it if given a choice.

BOSTON – Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, February 19, that the team has signed forward Justin Brazeau to a two-year, two-way contract with an annual NHL cap hit of $775,000. Brazeau, 26, has skated in 49 games with Providence this season, recording 18 goals and 19 assists for 37 points.Feb 19, 2024..
Notice above date, Feb 19..Look at Brazeau now, 4 goals past 3 games, 2 on the PP. WHY did it take 2 years for someone to notice him!! I'm a firm believer in taking certain times during the season and sending up a player from Providence and giving him a real chance. Brazeau is doing well especially of late. 15 games he has played with Bruins,he also has taken 28 shots, albeit 10 of those shots came previous 2 games..He has a really impressive +6 rating in a short period of time..He's looking like a great addition about now..
So they dips into the well and it works our really well and that contract is an absolute steal no matter cause its a 2-way contract. And you have him for this cheap for TWO years makes it even better..We all know we could be seeing the best of Brazeau now, maybea little puck luck, everything good happening the one time and all of a sudden the bubble bursts and he fades off..But I highly doubt it..He worked to hard to get here, he 's a big man at 6'4'' 220lb and does a great job in front of the net..I love the young JVR comparisn one of you came ujp woith..I think the perfect example..
This is why I think it should be done of a more regular basis..Plus, the more competition is always good..Who knows!! Lysell or Merkulov or even veteran Jason Megma, the forgotten signing, could really surprise and maybe be a huge difference in the playoffs..I realize this seasonj is complicated with the Bruins being practically pennies within the cap..they brought up Marc Mcgauklan[sp], he scores in his one game and gets sent back down?? WHY was he brught up for one game and it was surprising he got a call because his numbers in Prov are not impressive..
I think its really important to know what you have on the farm..It gives players a reason to fight harder in Prov if they expect call ups and it'll keep our Bruins lineup on their toes knowing they can sit and be replaced...Anyway, just someting to think about!!

Seems Keyser has fallen back in rankings..I'm really surprised Dipietro signed a 2-way deal and I have to wonder if Bussi will..Wont surprise me if Bruins ride out Ullmarks contract and he plays again next season..I imagine thats how conversation between Dip and DS went..I highly doubt they get lucky twice as I believe Bussi will want a 1 way contract..IF Donny dont consider him ahead of Dipietro, Do he get his 1 way cause you cant let him walk..

The #NHLBruins have signed forward Riley Duran to a two-year, entry-level contract. Hungry like a Wolf Duran was with Providence College since 2021, played 3 seasons but offensively this season was his worst..Now he stays in Providence but signs his ELC and joins the Baby Bruins.. I dont think Duran will ever be a major offensive threat but what you will get out of him is a 100% effort every night..He certainly dont mind the rough stuff and now that he finally has a legit chance, I think we'll see the best of him once he gets acclaimed with the AHL but he dont have alot of time..Losing Brazeau and now likely Lysell and their top Dman Alec Regula, 6'2'' Duran should get plenty of action if he fits in fast..Good Luck Riley!!
